Very nice hotel. Plenty of room which I really appreciated. Would definitely go back!

We were very impressed with this hotel. Everything was first class. Clean, stylish and very roomy. I can’t think of anything that was negative about it! Highly recommend it!

Could at least offer coffee

Overall a solid hotel. The main issue is with the lack of coffee and possibly a small snack on your way out in the morning.

Very Disappointed

The room was very small. The light in the bathroom did not work. The phone in the room did not work. I felt really tight in the space provided.

check in was a bit slow; did not eat in the hotel, but had drinks at bar. room was modern and bed comfortable. quiet. This is a boutique hotel without the fanfare of a large lobby and entrence

Very spacious clean room

We were impressed with size of the room and the cleanliness. The location was perfect. However, the squealing elevator was really annoying even though you only heard it when in the lobby or waiting for it.

Lowered Expectations

The following is an email I wrote to the GM (which after 2 weeks, no response yet) 1. Though our reservationist at check-in was up-to-par with our service expectations, she assigned us a room with dirty Room Service trays stacked in front of the door. Furthermore, upon opening the door, (excited that we invested a little more money into our choice of room than last time) the yet to be "styled" room was in dirty and deplorable condition. 2. After asking one of the concierges where to find wine late night, I was given wrong directions. After walking for half an hour, I called a cab. 3. Having bought a bottle of champagne, I called for a bucket of ice. 15 minutes passed. We call again. The person on the other line was very apologetic and promised to send one right away and even offered to send 2 wine glasses. 20 minutes pass. We call again. Etc. After an elapsed time of somewhere between 50 - 60 minutes, a gentleman n came with a linen and an ice bucket. No wine glasses. 4. Simply put after asking for directions the reservationist, she was angry, annoyed, unenthusiastic, monotone, and grumpy. She would cut me off in the mid-sentence and gave vague directions. 5. Once we arrived in Miami, I realized I left my house keys on the nightstand in our room. I call the hotel and inquire, was abruptly forwarded to security twice only to hear the inaudible voicemail. I left a very detailed message. I have yet to receive a call back.

Fabulous hotel in charming neighborhood

We traveled to NYC with our 2 young daughters and were very happy with this hotel’s location and the room. We booked a fantastic suite which was unbelievably big for an NYC hotel. We completely enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed the Central Park Zoo and Carousel.

The hotel was nice enough. It was clean and comfortable, but nothing extraordinary. I did like the line of soap/hand lotion they were using, and I loved that you could play your own DVDs.

Not Courting at the Court

Our trips to NYC are a highlight of our year. We love to find luxury hotels that have a boutique feel in fun neighborhoods. This time, we booked our stay at the Court with the anticipating of the W name with a boutique feel. The hotel was small, dank, unimpressive and doesn’t live up to the W name. The tub in our room was stained, it was hard to sleep with the noise and when we got to our room, it still hadn’t been cleaned all the way, but they still allowed us to check in. Run away! Go elsewhere...try 70 Park. Much, much better and up to par!

Deal? or No Deal?

My wife and I got the special rate at this hotel for a weekend get away. I am hoping that our room is not representative of what this hotel offers to all. I have the feeling we got the "deal room". That said, we should have asked for an upgrade. Here is a list of problems we faced. 1. Noise. I understand that it’s NYC and it’s a noisy place, but they did nothing to reduce it at all. The window in teh room had an old A/C unit in it that basically meant that the window was open to Lexington Ave. and being on the 3rd floor it was basically like trying to sleep on teh sidewalk. 2. Temperature. That same old A/C unit also allowed for a nice breeze to roll through the room...in January that breeeze is at about 32 degrees F. 3. Cleanliness. My wife has an alergy to feathers so we asked for a feather free room. This meant they just took our comforter away. Not very nice when the room is cold. 4. The little things. When I go to a "boutique hotel" I expect everything to be in order. We had no TP in the bathroom when we got there. We asked the maid in hall why there was no TP. Her curt response was that there was, a d she was right, but what good was it doing us on the top shelf of the coat closet? Also, our "comforter" was stainedm, the tub backed up to my ankles and we had to ask for soap. If you still want to stay here ask for a room on a higher floor on teh 39th St. side.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you have to stay here don’t go for any "deals" it is not really a deal as you get the bottom of the barrel. It might be a nice place to stay if you pay full price, but I’ll never know, I’m not going back.

A Great 50th Birthday Bash Hotel for a Girls Get Away Weekend

A wonderful hotel and great staff. We had a very nice suite. we could see the east river from our window. room was nice. bathroom was small and a little less lux (but we had been advised before hand). Clean, roomy and safe. Room key required to ride elevator up to room so we girls all felt safe. Hotel surprised us with complementary bottle of wine and cheese cake in honor of my 50th b-day. Good location for catching all subway lines (near Grand Central) and nice neighborhood feel. Also storage of luggage before and after our stay made a HUGE difference in enjoying our time in NYC. Highly recommend and will be returning again in the spring for another stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

near major subway lines -- just 3 blocks from Grand Central. starbucks one block away. close to 5th avenue with major retailers. neighborhood is not loaded with tourists so easy to catch cabs and just walk around

Got good deal right after Thanksgiving. Very comfortable and good location, good service. Only thing we did not like was the lobby was so dark and gloomy!

wonderful Hotel

My stay at the W was very enjoyable. As you know any hotel guest can find fault or concerns with their stay, but what distinguishes the common hotel from the excellent is how those concerns are handled. Your staff at THE COURT did not disappoint proving to be above excellent. Fresh, pleasant and willing to provide assistant with a smile makes your staff above A+. The Lexus car service was a nice touch. My niece who was there for 3 days felt the door attendants were a bit relaxed in the evening, often failing to notice if she needed assistance. I have already recommended the W New York The Court to several people and look forward to my next stay.

Genuinely inviting and friendly

The room was fine, restaurant and location very good but the real standout is the staff. They REALLY DO want to be helpful and friendly. It’s not out of a training manual.

Mediocre Quality of Hotel

Albeiit the W brand name, the W The Court has the feeling of a mediocre 80’s New York hotel. The lobby and bar are flashy in decor and music aimed mainly to nightly bar-goers which usually are not guests. WIth daylight the furniture in the lobby shows so much wear and tear that makes it feel cheap and tacky. The rooms are also furnished in a minimal style. The bed is comfortable but that is about all the positive things one can say about the room. The paint is peeling off and the materials show clearly that it was an old room from and old hotel with just new paint. For the approximately the same price you can go to The Palace, a notch above in quality.

Super way to go on holiday!!!

Can ’t say enough how gracious and accommodating the staff was. Spacious,clean room in a very quiet and nestled in a quant residential neighborhood yet still had views of the Chrysler,Empire and other beautiful buildings. And the rooms service meals that arrived were totally top notch as well~ Never made it to the Spa... That is a definite on my next visit for sure

Close to almost everything

It is in midtown 3 blocks from Grand Central Station, and an easy walk to most things in the area. Located near local eateries. And they have drop off car to take you wherever you need to go at no cost to you. I would stay there again when I return.
