Beautiful resort

The neighborhood isn’t the greatest and you are far from anything other than the airport, but the amenities on the property are worth it if you have a car and can drive to where you want to be.

Great stay

Overall a great experience. The only drawback is that the property is so large we had to take exploratory strolls in order to find the most direct route to our destination! Yes, we could call the bell desk & have a golf cart come pick us up but that spoiled the fun!

resort is very clean. we would like to go back there if we are in phoenix.

Beautiful hotel and great amenities

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and really enjoyed it. But love it now that they have remodeled many of the rooms. They are beautiful and spacious. Restaurants within walking distance.

The Villas are great!

When we originally checked in, the two rooms we were given were not clean and, to make matters worse, they were located next to a generator in the parking lot. The hotel rectified this within a half an hour by moving us to one of the villas instead. The villa was amazing. Truly fabulous bathroom with huge glass wall shower. Upscale kitchen. Luxurious rooms. And balconies off all three rooms.

I’m never going back

We paid a lot of money to come here because of the waterpark. I was told at the front desk that the waterpark was open. When we went to the park we found out that only the wave pool was open. The lazy river and the water rides were closed for the season. I talked with other guests who had the same experience. We went to complain but it fell on deaf ears. Nice hotel but I’m never coming back.

Arizona Grand Resort

I highly reccomend this hotel/resort. However, you should be aware of a few things. The water park is not always open. If traveling with kids, check on the park’s status. When it is open, I can’t think of a better (non-Disney) hotel to take kids. Service was excellent and friendly. Resort is clean and well maintained. The resort caters to all types of travelers. If and when I go back to the Phoenix area, I will stay here again.

See the Hall of Flame - firefighting museum, if you have kids.

Niiiice!

from check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. my room was large and comfortable. the food was great ... the location was so convenient to the airport and to any other location i went to ... the amenities was superb ... nice spa. some nice hiking trails in the area. would definitely go back.

Shower

We had a television shoot on ABC7 scheduled early in the morning about 5am - Our shower did not have hot water. I contacted the front desk and was told they could do nothing unless they could get into the room. Heaters are outside? I reported it again at the front desk and was told SORRY and that happens with those showers they knew what I meant. Nice looking property and people but this was unacceptable

Very good value

Second stay at Arizona Grand Resort, will return again very soon. Excellent food on main property but do not waste your money at the Rustler’s Rooste.

No refrigerator in room. Don’t understand so you may want to invest in a small cooler to keep your beverages.

An Excellent Hotel

This hotel was excellent. The are renovating at this time, but the property was accessible and the service was impeccable.

The property is family friendly.

Better than I Thought

The hotel was much better than we anticipated. The grounds were very nice, the hotel was quite large. Our room was near the waterpark. That made my room in a perfect location. Overall experience was very nice.

Traveler's tip on shopping

The hotel was centrally located. Shopping was less than a mile. Included in the mall was a movie theatre, Game works and stores. Very family friendly.

Not impressed

Was placed in older section of resort with no view. Room itself was acceptable though both televisions were extremely small (19") and the majority of the stations had poor reception. The water park was closed during the week while only open on weekends making it less than what the website expressed it would be.

Would love to stay here again!!!

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The staff were extemely helpful and accommodating and the shuttle service to surrounding ammenities was great. We loved our room and the fabulous water park. You couldn’t ask for more... wave pool, lap pool, water slides and best of all, an amazing lazy river! All in all, a great and relaxing vacation. We will be back!!!

Fairly nice but I wouldn’t pay seasonal prices to stay there

For the Phoenix offseason price I paid it was an OK value- two Queen bed suite so my family of 4 was comfortable. Room was nice, Oasis Water Park was a lot of fun for my 10 and 7 year olds but would probably bore teens and young adults. I had two complaints- the TV’s in both rooms were tiny old school picture tube units and the family pool (outside the water park) was gross- cloudy water full of leaves and trash while the adults only pool was pristine.

For out of town guests I recommend taking the shuttle from the lobby up to Rustler’s Roost for dinner, it is an Old West theme restaurant with outstanding views, and nice Western BBQ food and is a lot of fun.

Will definitely go back!

The resort was wonderful! I stayed here over the Labor Day Weekend and was very pleased with the customer service, the room appearance and all of the amenities of the resort. My husband and I definitely plan to come back next year.

very nice resort

Overall it was a very pleasant stay...super comfortable beds. My only complaint would be in regards to the room service. The food wasn’t all that great...except for breakfast which was wonderful! Loved having the water park right in the resort, although it was very crowded at times.

Go to the water park in the evening, there are less people and the lifeguards are more lenient about their many rules they have to enforce...more relaxed in general.

great remodel! funny smell...

great remodel. convenient suite concept. great waterpark (better water filtration system would be nice). small bathroom. smell outside was not good, nauseating actually, but improved the second day. smelled like sewage/garbage, but the front desk said it was the pond (and that it was worse when it was humid).

Beautiful resort

Lovely resort on the outskirts of Phoenix. Plenty of wonderful activities at the resort, but close enough to go into the city if desired. Didn’t have the opportunity to try out the waterpark, but it looked like lots of fun.

Kids had a great time!

Our family stayed here over Labor Day weekend and had the best time! We stayed in the Camelback which is right next to the Waterpark. Clean room with lots of space, super comfy beds. Would have liked a refrigerator and microwave in room, but we used the mini bar to store juices and fruit. Beautiful grounds to take walks, and my kids could not get enough of the waterpark! Wonderful courteous and helpful staff. Will most definitely come back!

Take the kids to Rustler’s Rooste for dinner. It’s located above the hotel grounds, call the front desk and they will provide a shuttle ride to and from. The kids can go down the indoor slide and enjoy free cotton candy at the end of your meal! Also recommend having lunch at the Rainforest Cafe at the Arizona Mills which is just down the street, my 7 year old didn’t want to leave! And save money on breakfast by picking up some fruit or muffins at Fry’s which is also just down the street.

Had a relaxing time

The hotel was beautiful. The services were great. The hiking nearby was awesome. The pool got crowded on the weekend.

11th stay at the Pointe

There have been many changes with the change in ownership, some not so great. The openness of the property has collapsed due to new villas built right in the center of the golf course, leaving the course to be redesigned, elimination of the sand volley ball court and tennis courts. The spa is also less appealing now that the Wildhorse is no longer there, but moved to the checkin building, which has also moved. The adult pools are no longer adult, as they have closed down the bars and they are overrun with kids. However, the stay was wonderful and the service still Pointe perfect! I will continue to visit this gorgeous property.

Don’t miss Rustler’s Rooste

The kids had a blast!

Very beautiful resort with plenty of amenities. Perfect vacation for the kids to relax and enjoy a waterpark. Would have been nice to have a microwave and a usable fridge in the rooms, the honor fridge was not cold enough, but we did just take out the contents and add our own! Saturday was a little busy at the waterpark and when we left and came back we couldn’t find a place to park! We stayed Wed-Tues and had plenty of time to enjoy the spacious waterpark without the crowd. I would definately make sure you don’t make Saturday your main day. Go early in the morning to get a good spot! Our family really enjoyed the resort and I will recommend this resort to anyone. The older the kids the better, but still great fun for those with younger kids as well.

Go to the Fry’s down the road and buy your snacks and drinks. The resort can get a little spendy for those items.

We will return next year!

We will never return on a week end. Other guests monopolized the tubes keeping them out of the water at their chairsides. Overhead pages to return tubes to the water were ignored and not enforced by hotel staff. Lunch buffet was costly and minimal selections. The same for the breakfast buffet. But our family enjoyed the water park and so we will return next summer.

Great Hotel

The hotel was great. everything was very clean. the adult pool was great to just relax and enjoy. could have gone without the added cost of the $30/night, but the staff and everybody was very nice and very accomodating. The room was great, bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in! already planning a future trip!

the food at the resort is wayyy too expensive. go out and buy some food to bring back or eat out at surrounding restaurants.
