Will definitely stay there again

This suite was perfect for us, as we were 4 adults and 1 child anxious to see Sea World. The suite was equiped with 2 televisions which was convenient for the adults as well as a 2 year old. There was also a mini refridgerator to keep milk available for the child. The lighting in the bathroom was not bright enough. Parking was convenient, however I don’t understand why there was a parking fee since we were hotel guests. This hotel was located just minutes away from Sea World and Old Down Town San Diego. It was a fun trip. We would definitely choose this Hotel again.

Front desk person disappeared

The room was great. My only complaint was I had to leave at 4:00am and when I asked for a cab it never came. I couldn’t get anyone to come to the front desk. After 20 minutes I finally had to find a security guard to look for the front desk person. When she finally showed up she called the cab again but I barely made my flight.

Good Hotel at a great value

Our experience at the Comfort Inn and Suites - Zoo and Sea World at 2485 Hotel Circle (not to be confused with another Comfort Inn elsewhere on Hotel Circle) was very pleasant. It was an excellent location to access Sea World. New renovation, Very comfortable beds, clean, and a very good value for the reasonalebe price. Breakfast was plentiful and had a large selection of items for a continental breakfast, but the small room facility was crowded for the number of people - go early. Overall, I recommend.

Hotel biiking and accomodations went very well and we are very pleased. Attraction (Sea World) booking through Expedia was a nightmare.

Renovated

This hotel was renovated, but they layout of the king kidsuite was awkward. The bathroom sink area is small. The room separation was odd, the majority of the room was in the kids portion, including the desk. The breakfast area was small but the food was good. It does get busy in there! The hotel was a bit noisy but that is probably more due to age and location of being right on I8. But the location was really central, and for our quick trip where we didn’t spend too much time inside the room, the hotel met our needs well. Be aware of the parking fee.

Traveler's tip on shopping

The Fashion Mall is only a few miles away off Hotel Circle.

I would go back........

The reason I stayed at this hotel was because it was one of the only places that I found to have room for more than 4 people. It had 2dbl beds and a pullout bed. The beds were really comfortable which is hard to find because most hotel rooms I’ve stayed in aren’t. The pullout out couch though was another thing, it should be replaced since the people that stayed on it said it was uncomfortable and the mattress was really thin so you could feel the springs on your side. The room has a contemporary feel with great lcd tv’s so overall I was satisfied with it. It was also close to all the places I wanted to visit, just like a 10-15 minute drive or less to the beach, sea world, and the zoo. It’s right on the freeway area so it’s easy to reach too. Overall I am satisfied with staying at this hotel, it had nice tv’s, cold ac, comfortable beds, and it was clean.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you are going to go to the zoo or sea world, plan to arrive there early, the earlier the best. And also if you want to enjoy everything, plan on staying there the majority of your day since there is so much to view.

Great for Families

I was skeptical of the price. I didnt think I could expect such a nice hotel for such a reasonable rate. We enjoyed our stay. My son LOVED the kids suite. That was a very special feature. We would love to go back

The kids suites are awesome

Not bad for the price

The Hotel was nice overall and pretty clean. we got upgraded to a family suite which i didn’t like too much since we didn’t need a separate room with bunk beds i would have preferred a regular king room. the service was good and the hotel staff was helpful and the hotel was located close to all the attractions. word of advise try to get back to the hotel early Friday night parking was good but Saturday we got back at 12:30 am and couldn’t get a spot and had to park on the street. The breakfast was just OK and way too many people go later you’ll be better off

Looking foward to visit again

The hotel was very nice and the newly remodeled rooms were very nice and contemporary. Most hotels offer a continental breakfast that consists of cold cereal, donuts and watered down coffee. At Comfort Inn they had a well balanced breakfast and they even had a waffle station!!! That did it for our kids and if the kids are happy then the whole family is happy.

At breakfast time we bonded as a family while we made our waffles. We had a great time and we saved some bucks.

A Big Fan

I am becoming a big fan of the Comfort Inn Hotels. This is only the 2nd time that I have stayed in one and they both have been very comfortable and accomodating. The free breakfast is great and the people are so very nice. I highly recommend staying at any Comfort Inn.

A pleasant stay

Enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the pool. The room was a bit cramped so staying there for any length of time with children was stressful. But it was clean and had plenty of sleeping space for 6. A negative was that there was no place to walk to for a quick pick up dinner or lunch. If traveling on a budget and didn’t want to go to a sit down restaurant you had to drive to find a take out meal. Fridge and micro were tiny. A positive is that it is centrally located for many sights. Surrounded by interstates.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Close to Old Town and Beaches at Mission Bay. Best to visit these on weekdays.

Will stay here everytime I go to San Diego

We absolutely loved this hotel! It seemed to be right in the middle of everything. The rooms were spacious and up to date in style. Continental breakfast was great, I didn’t expect hard boiled eggs. Pool was clean.

Can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

Make no mistake -- this is an old hotel with some updated touches. Placing modern furniture in a room does not disguise the thin walls, low ceilings, small cranky elevators, humid interior hallways and tight parking. Heard the freeway traffic all night. Breakfast room was crowded with long lines to get a small bagel. We opted for just coffee. Dispensers were empty. We quickly left. Should have found another hotel instead of staying second night. Had to park next door at steak house each night because none were left at hotel. Called front desk after our stay. Said they were ’sorry.’ Did nothing/offered nothing.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We ventured to La Jolla for the day. Had a nice dinner after walking around town. Beaches were interesting and different. Balboa Park is also a nice place to spend the day.

Area close by to attractions, nice.

The room floor and sheets were damp. I do not know if water was spilled or the carpet was damp from pool, but that was bad. Carpet felt wet when we arrived to our room.

It was just okay

The first night we were there, it was almost impossible to get a parking space. Our air conditioner did not work all of the time (the maintenance fellow said something about ours going out when the room below us had theirs on). Breakfast was an absolute zoo as there was not enough tables to eat in the breakfast area, so many people were trying to take food back to their rooms. However, that being said, the hotel is in a good location and it was nice to be able to get the kid’s suite when you have a family of four.

good hotel for families

This is a good place for families. My kids loved the bunk-beds in "their" own room. We loved having 2 TVs, one for the kids and one for the adults. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.

not the best place we stayed

The room was ok, reception staff friendly, breakfast was a buffet style but was so crowded there was nowhere to sit and lots of people took their plates back to their rooms. Even so there were still queues and people standing around. The area is not very picturesque although there are some good restaurants nearby. We would not stay here again.

nice for a family trip

The hotel room was somewhat outdated from the outside. But the rooms had been renovated. The rooms were nice but for a family of 4 it was kind of cramped. I did like the separation of the kids room and the other room. Their wasn’t that much parking and you have to pay to park.

Quality of the room

Our stay was conveniently located around the specific areas that we intended to visit. The size of the room was sufficient for the amount of individuals sharing the room. I would definitely stay at this location in the future.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

All local attractions were located in a close proximatity of our hotel.
