The New Yorker
A friend and I came to NYC for a "girls weekend" and a concert at the Garden. The lovely woman at the desk upgraded us to a room with 2 beds and 2 bathrooms...one at each end of the room. One for me...one for my friend! Perfect! Ive stayed in a lot of NYC hotels, but Ive never seen this floor plan before. Wonderful for 2 gals traveling together. Super convenient to Madison Square Garden and Macys. Great little diner in lobby for a late night bite or breakfast. I will definitely try to book this hotel again.
Penn Station right under Madison Square Garden (1 Blk away) makes catching a train easy. Cabs are plentiful because of Macys and the Garden.

Happy w/ the New Yorker
We had a pretty good stay at the New Yorker. Here are the pluses and minuses: + Location, Location, Location (Easy access to all of Manhattan) + Renovated rooms + Free wi-fi (Though it was a bit unreliable) - Tiny Rooms - Cant add valet charges to room (Must pay every time you leave) - Overly conservative security (Must show key every time you enter hotel) Overall, a solid 3.5 star hotel. Wed recommend it if you can find a good rate.
New York City is best enjoyed in spring or fall!

Nice Hotel
It was a very clean, comfortable hotel. The room was small, but after all it is New York City.
