A Great Place To Stay!

Wonderful location, just a short walk to Grand Central Station. Rooms were very nice and much larger than most I’ve stayed in in NYC. Great place to stay if you want to be away from Times Square.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Take advantage of the car service. Great FREE way to get where you are going, although you will need to plan for a cab or subway ride back to the hotel.

Good and bad

Nice location, on quiet street but within easy walking distance of main sites as well as Gramercy, Murray HIll, etc. Some nice neighborhood restaurants. No lobby to speak of, bar did not have one person in it the entire 4 day trip, although we were told hotel was sold out. Confirmed with hotel a month in advance that we would have double beds but when we arrived they had none so we needed a roll away. Room was nice, decent size, comfortable bed, simeple buy clean & modern bath. Room had windows but no view, no extras except the nice Bliss toiletries. Location is the best aspect of this hotel.

Only one complaint about the noise from outside

It can tell the hotel is renovated from a old building. The paint on the wall and the doors is so thick that there are so many other layers donw below it. The hotel should install double glass window. you can hear very clear at night all the cars from outside.

slower pace and close to Central Station

This location is prefect if you are looking for a place that is not so busy in New York. I think this part of the City is called Murray Hill, and it didn’t have a whole lot of resturant close by although if you like to walk, or are cofortable with the subway, that really doesn’t matter. I had business in both NY and New Haven; the W is walking distance (about 3 blocks) from Cetral Station, it made getting to and from New Haven very easy. There is a great fitness center in the hotel, one of the best I have seen. If you get a room on the street side, your sleep will likely be interupted by trucks in the morning... but hey it is a big City.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Definitely book on-line. I needed to extend my stay one night and the hotel front desk would have charged me an extra $80 above what I found on-line for the extra night.

Small but cosy - good value hotel in Midtown NY

Extremely friendly hotel staff. Even though the room is small, especially the bathroom, my 3 days stay at this cosy hotel is memorable. Good value.

Just so-so

Hotel is in a nice area, and fairly clean. Walls are PAPER-THIN, I could hear not only the neighbors talking on their cell phone, but also the person they were talking to, and could hear them snoring. Room was directly next to the elevator - every time the elevator moved the room shook. Not a 4-star experience. I expected much better.

Can’t wait to go back

Hopefully The W Tuscany will continue to fulfill my expectations and keep the price somewhat affordable. I was extremely impressed; the rooms were VERY clean and good size for New York. I highly recommend this hotel for the comfort as well as the great location!

A Jewel in the City

The W Tuscany is a wonderful place in the city, close to main attractions but not too close. You get a real feel for living in Manhattan when staying in this Murray Hill hotel. The rooms are spacious and the chaise lounge in the "Spectacular" room is the most comfortable piece of furniture I have ever sat on. I wish I could have taken advantage of the "WISH" program and taken it home with me!

Traveler's tip on dining

Two tips-- the local bodega/deli just down 39th on Lex has delicious sandwiches for great prices! For dinner, Casaville is only several blocks up Lex and serves yummy Moroccan at seriously amazing prices. Quite a find... I will be there every weekend I spend in the city!
