Great location

The hotel was across the street from Progressive field, which may not have been a plus if it was during the regular season, but put us close to many really good restaurants. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Great Lakes Science museums were about a mile away. I really enjoyed the walk. The city is clean and not congested. I’d love to go back.

Convenient

The hotel was in very close view of Progressive Field, we could see if right out our window, which was perfect, as we were staying there for a Indian’s game. The service was great, no complaints besides the cost for continental breakfast.

Traveler's tip on dining

It is not continental breakfast. We didn’t know that.

Overall pleasent with a few minor issues

It is a great place to stay when you are going for an Indians game and within walking distance of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. When we got to the hotel we were assigned to a smoking room even though we requested non-smoking but the staff took care of it within an hour. However, the new room we had was not cleaned properly from the previous guest. We found a DIRTY TEE-SHIRT, A CUE TIP AND HAIR IN THE BATHROOM. We left a note for housekeeping to take care of this. When we got back to the room the note was gone but everything we mentioned was still there. We called down to the lobby and requested it be taken care of and the person who answered did not only seem not to be surprised it wasn’t taken care of but not apologetic about it either. Housekeeping arrived within a few minutes though and did take care of the issue.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

We parked our car across the street from the hotel in the garage because it costs less per day but the only thing was that we had to pay for the day we were leaving. I guess it would be fine if we were staying in the city after checkout. We did save a couple of dollars though.

Cant recommend this hotel

I went to Cleveland on Business terms. I had a terrible time with my room due to the A/C worked when it wanted and having asthma didnt help the situation. You either froze or suffered from the heat and stuffiness. The hotel staff at the front desk, were kind of snobbish, they really didnt want to help you unless you were willing to talk to them about your day. Besides what they were doing at the time was more important than assisting the customer. They have non english speaking cleaning staff that cant seem to give you clean towels or change your trash or bed lining without you helping them do the work. When I checked out they gave me 2 breakfast tickets, which I already ate breakfast b4 checking out. Go Figure!! I was really disappointed with this hotel and I cant see myself staying there again.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

If you choose to stay at this hotel, make sure you have an extra 45mins for breakfast or lunch than planned. They have NO respect for the fact that you may be on some sort of schedule...

Good place to stay for a baseball game

It was clean and easy to get to. Wonderful place to stay if you are going to see a baseball game as Progressive Field is across the street. Would definitely stay there again.

Second stay, just as nice

We stayed at this hotel for this trip, as well as a few years ago. The hotel has maintained its high standards. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay at this hotel anytime we are in Cleveland.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

This is the BEST hotel if you are in town for a baseball or basketball game. It’s right down the street from both. Also, check out the Winking Lizard. It has good food and an extensive selection of beer.

Very friendly

I felt very comfortable being a white sox fan in town and staying across from the Cleveland Indians stadium. They really made us feel welcome and not like enemies. It was fun being able to stay that close to the stadiums in such a nice hotel for such reasonable price.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Baseball game in Cleveland is a fun and inexpensive experience.

Quality Stay, Fair Price, Conveniently Located

Hotel was conveniently located from all attractions that we took in during our stay. Close to dining, entertainment, fuel, and interstate. Clean rooms, free wi-fi, nice selection of cable channels, and a decent breakfast buffet for the price. Mid size pool was crowded quickly, but was not a priority for us. Kids ruled at the pool.

Traveler's tip on dining

Dined at nearby Flannery’s Pub. Drove, but could have walked on a nice day. Diverse menu for the mildly hungry to the starved.

A good place to stay

I think that if you have to be in downtown Cleveland, the Hilton Garden Inn is not a bad place to be. There was nothing exceptional about my room, but it was clean, quiet, and the desk clerks were very pleasant.

A great deal

Only the professionalism of the staff outweighed the comfort of the hotel. Reasonsably centrally located, a shuttle service is offered from 7-7 Monday through Friday that will bring you to many points within a certain radius (although not everywhere). Wonderful breakfast deal for $10.95--omelets, pancakes and waffles, delicious fresh fruit, granola, etc. and that incomperable mid-Western bacon, perfectly cooked, and only int he midwest pork sausages. If/when I ever have occasion to return again to the city on Lake Erie, I’ll certainly try to book the same hotel.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

vry close to most major attractions, ; a trolley is about a 7 minute walk.

Would stay again if I had to go to Cleveland

The actual visit to Cleveland wasn’t that great as once we had visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, there wasn’t much else to do. The other attractions on our list were a disappointment, if they were even open. The only other thing we really wanted to do was the Hard Rock Cafe but after 5 laps around the block trying to find a place to park, we gave up. Thank goodness for the Hilton! We ended up spending most of the time in the city in our room enjoying all the comforts. We ate a great dinner in the hotel’s restaurant.

Impressed

Hotel was extremely nice. Beds were unbelievably comfortable, one of the nicest I’ve ever slept on. Very close to Progressive Field and Quicken Loan Arena. We actually walked to Quicken in the rain, it wasn’t that bad at all. Overall, very impressed.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Don’t park your car at the Hilton. It was $16 per night. As I left, I was a parking lot next door for a lot less than $16.

Always go with a Hilton

Very clean, great service, and only half a mile from the Palace Theatre. Right across the street from the Cleveland Indians stadium. Great location!
