Great place! Clean and as advertised, steps to all of the action. The owners were very helpful and the staff at Playa Paradise were excellent. Can't recommend this place enough.

There's an abundance of awesome attractions waiting to be discovered in Playa del Carmen. Three of the best are the San Gervasio, the El Camaleon Golf Club and Xcaret Eco Theme Park.
An unmistakable building, Guadalupe Church is an iconic part of the landscape. This church plays a significant role in the social and religious life of the community. If you're after some close-by hotels, the Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Esmeralda All Inclusive and Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla- All Adult/All Inclusive are two excellent choices. Take a walk, breathe in the fresh air and drink in the views at Mamitas Beach Club, a popular spot to enjoy some time out in nature. You can throw down your suitcase and enjoy some shut-eye at the Royal Hideaway Playacar All Inclusive - Adults only and Riu Palace Riviera Maya All Inclusive if you prefer to stay near this attraction.
As an alternative why don't you indulge yourself a little by booking a room at more upmarket 12th Street hotels, such as the Koox La Mar CondHotel and Oasis12 by Sea Side.
If all that exploring in 12th Street has exhausted you, drop in for a quick bite at Sabrina. When you start feeling particularly hungry and need something a bit more substantial, head to Quesadillas. The fun doesn't have to finish there. When the sky starts to darken, you can raise a glass to a marvelous day out at Don CLAMATO.
