“We loved our overnight stay at The Chanticleer. We had book the reservation for the wrong day and the owner(?) was very accommodating in helping us resolve 5he issue. The Inn itself was such a quaint peaceful throwback - reminding us of childhood trips long ago. Beautiful lake views from our room and a spot on dinner recommendation rounded out a perfect evening stop on our way to UP for a little getaway. Highly recommend The Chanticleer for families couples or anyone just wanting to unwind and……

“They gave us trouble with the room we reserved originally because they were having windows replaced and because we booked thru Expedia they stated they didn’t have a phone number to call us to let us know the room needed changed. They also didn’t tell us about the room change until I had to come back up and inform them we received the incorrect room. It took 3 room changes to get the correct room we reserved. Thankfully we tried to check in early at 2:30 because by the time it was figured out it……

“Nice location, on a cranberry farm, with the beautiful lake across the street. The house was very quiet, and it was immaculate. Plan to stay again. ”

“We reserved the property and a few hours later it was cancelled on us. There was no way to contact the owner and the website information was horrible. The property may have been nice but we didn’t get a chance to find out. We had insurance on the property (that was canceled on us) and it took a 1 hour call to get a credit back. The property rental availability is not in sync with Expedia and made for a total waste of time. Beware!”
