"Innovatively designed hotel situated in a quiet area with a nice dining room for eating in, and good breakfast. On the negative side, the bed lamps are ineffective with a very small bulb pointing upwards that could not be adjusted without risk of damage. I would prefer to see dedicated recycling bins in the rooms instead of an instruction to place recyclable items on the table, which I suspect may not be followed by everyone. "Incredible location, at the top of a cliff overlooking the North Sea. The food was fantastic, the porch was cozy with and unbeatable view. The rooms were clean but not luxurious "

"Check in a little rough. Night staff new to job & area - parking was full, googled other possibilities - i'm pretty sure we were ticketed, as our back window had writing on it. Had to carry our bags up the beautiful but long staircase (I'm over 65 & spouse with back issues). Room and breakfast nice tho."

"I don't normally leave reviews, but can't let this pass. Poor up keep was apparent from the ill fitting curtains and power socket. But really appalling was the lack of hygiene. I found little fly-like bugs in both single beds. Not wanting company for the night I checked out early. I have tried reaching out to the hotel via telephone, email, and hotels.com chat but yet to hear back from them. Perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised about their lack of customer support. "

"Gilleleje Badehotel is one of the classic Danish seaside hotels dating from the end of the 19th Century, when the well situated started to spend their holidays away from the capital city. Gilleleje has an active port with both fishing vessels and leisure boats, and nice restaurants. There is a beautiful 1,5 km seaside walking path from the hotel to the port. We visited during winter and really appreciated our windy walks in the area. "
