“Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant……

“We would highly recommend The Fanny Talbot. Our room was lovely and spacious with an added bonus of a kitchenette area. Everything was clean and beautifully presented. The staff are very welcoming and the service at the restaurant was also top notch. We ate there the first night and had the set menu. Each plate was exceptional. We would definitely return.”

“The room was a bit small for 3 adults. We had limited space for placing our suitcases. The bed sheets were not white in colour which made me feel that they were not clean. Also surprised to find that we were only given small tubes of shampoo for 3 adults to use for two days at the beginning and there was no shower gel. The staff they were still waiting for delivery of the showergel. Luckily we got the shower gel on the second day. The shower cubicle was very small and the water from the shower……

“Good stuff, parking well controlled, check in fine, room on the surface looked good, breakfast quite nice Bad stuff, car chargers wouldn’t work (tried 4), noise from the external ac units kept us awake, strobe from smoke detector kept us awake, noise from presume staff and others kept us awake, security light coming on all the time kept us awake, shower door missing meaning water soaks the floor (door to bathroom doesn’t close properly without effort due to water damage) the window locks on the……

“Simply beautiful, staff could not do enough to help, check in was easy and quick. Stunning location and a small village a short stroll away. Room was clean and adequate with all tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is continental with other options available to purchase. We had a full Welsh breakfast and avocado on toast and it was amazing. All topped off with stunning views would definitely recommend and visit again.”
