“In general the place is great, however, we rented the flat with two bedrooms and a kitchenette. However the kitchenette was in need of repairs and the dishes and utensils were dirty with dried out food and housekeeping was unreliable.”

“We enjoyed our stay here! The beach was within an easy, short walking distance and very beautiful! The rip current can be very strong, so we found a nice, mostly calm pocket of water between reefs, down the beach, to swim in for a couple of days-- really pleasant! Plus, they gave us beach towels at the desk. The staff were friendly, helpful and someone was always available. They provided dry towels everyday, since nothing dries for days. “The staff were incredible and so helpful. The cabins are open air; just screen windows, so if you hate being damp, this is not the place for you. There are also a lot of ants, so don't leave ANY crumbs unattended. Location and garden were amazing... Definitely a "roughing it" kind of stay, so be prepared, and bring waterproof bags or ziplocks for your electronics”

Isabella is amazing, she helped me order food for delivery in the rain, she helped organize excursions, she helped with bike rentals/organized tuk tuks, and recommended things to do around town/best sunsets. Anytime I am in Puerto Viejo I will stay at Villa Roca de Caribe for sure.”

“This place is AMAZING! You will feel as though you’re in the middle of the jungle even though civilization is nearby. The private beach is beautiful, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. There’s so much nature and animals to see all around, you’ll wake up to the sound of so many birds beautifully singing at you. It’s like out of a movie. The hot tub at the beach house is a phenomenal amenity and the staff is so friendly. This is our second time staying here and God willing……
