"The situation in a woodland property was nice. The interior was nice , although probably more rustic than luxury. It was good to have an open fire, because the living area was cold without it : perhaps a heat pump as well would be a good idea. We had to get lots more firewood from the woodpile especially kindling as we lit the fire each morning and evening. The living area was quite dark. "Arrived on a bleak Invercargill day, completely underdressed for the weather, was invited for early check in so i could get changed. upon arrival the heater had been switched on so the room was nice and warm. Room was cosy, warm and clean. Parking was great. Highlight of staying here was the hosts, they were attentive, friendly and had some great recommendations on food and activities. Thanks for hosting us."

Tower Lodge afforded us a great starting out point for our exploration of Invercargill. It's right across from the attractive water tower (hence, its name), down the street from the beautiful botanical gardens, and near great restaurants. We were here only one night in advance of our trip to Stewart I. the next day, but think the town is worth another visit someday. Owner is especially nice and helpful. She readily called places to get information for us, helped us locate things on maps, etc....
