I like The Watson in Adelaide much more. Quiet but very convenient for going out. Room is clean, facility is enough for a short stay, staff staying late for help.

Had stayed at a few different art series hotels across Melbourne which all had a high level of cleanliness, staffing quality and general polish. The Watson is essentially an apartment block which also seems to have a few hotel rooms throughout. Rooms were not particularly clean with things found behind microwaves, on the toilet, around the basin. Room was for 4 people and only had 3 plates provided. Room was only served once a week yet contained only 1 small soap, body wash etc. Washing machine was loud and appeared to have a broken door as it would require resetting. Wifi was generally unusable and both TVs weren't connected to the internet so unavailable to stream to or use other than basic free to air. Foxtel provided required a reset when first used and never seemed to work again after that. Wouldn't stay in again.

We think the price we paid was not what one would expect the kitchen-equipment was well below par.. Also the dishwasher did not work. The owner is obliged to upgrade . How can a PowerPoint pass health and safety with the only kitchen PowerPoint inches from the sink..could they provide 2 pillows. Who was the interior decorator responsible for the blinds! I would appreciate a response to this assessment.

Stayed 5 days no house keeping, no replacment of milk, toilet paper etc staff were nice when we asked. fridge feoze everything and when turned of light the ausstar box would turn off ( had no free to air unless ausstar was on) staff memeber who asked us to call him Sushi was fantastic!

Great hotel but…
Great hotel. Lovely staff - very responsive. My only qualm was there were no curtains or black out blinds and the blinds did not cover the windows. So don’t expect a sleep in! We had rhe Sun boring into our rooms at 5:30 am. Thoroughly recommend but the hotel should make the small investment of block out window dressings.
