"Our stay was wonderful although the restaurant is not onsite walking to the restaurant was just a few mins (2-3 mins) which was wonderful and made sense since the restaurant has a beautiful location where one can watch birds and take a walk for free, or pay for a tour and go watch other birds and have a tour guide walk you through the place. The retreat is nearby La For tuna and many food options which I highly recommend trying several Soda places which are where locals go to eat. "

"The location in the heart of La Fortuna town is a winner! It’s also in an intimate neighborhood setting. It’s perfectly clean. Very well kept as you’ll see in the photos. Front desk staff always with a smile. Breakfast was made to order and good. Typical Costa Rican and familiar options. Small portion but filling. Ask for more if you wish. Safe area. Walk out to the Main Street day or night."

"I felt so welcome the moment I walked onto the property. It’s a very secure place and I felt very safe, especially as a female, solo traveler. The check in was very easy and the kind security guard helped me to my room. Jennifer (I believe her name is) is extremely sweet and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Everyone was so nice! The restaurant staff is so attentive and very efficient with the food orders. I was so happy to enjoy the free breakfast, the pool, and the wonderful room. Everything was very clean and organized. I wish to return soon! This will be my first choice for hotels in San Jose :) Muchas gracias!!"
