The location was as advertised, and we enjoyed our short stay. The hosts were excellent with delicious homemade apple caramel bars waiting for our arrival!
The host made our stay so welcoming. Right down to fresh snicker doodles and a kind note.We were in a very stressful transition of moving from Maine to Ohio, and their place allowed us to warm and comfortable with our dog and have a safe place for her to explore outside. It was also a huge relief to have a safe place for our uhaul cargo trailer to sit while we drove our car to various appointments for closing on our house.Great experience!
The property was exactly what we needed for our trip. Space was equipped, large and relaxing. Friends and family wanted to come visit us instead of us needing to go visit them. One friend said it was like a little vacation for her too! We hope to be able to stay here again!
Cute place with a great view and nice accommodations! The owner left us cookies and were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The area is beautiful and plenty of places to eat and explore.
loved the surrounding with the beauty of nature, all the birds, geese, squirrels, ducks. the home was very roomy, well maintained. loved all the large windows to enjoy nature from wiithin.
Spacious lodging in a beautiful private residential area
This rental consisted of the entire ground level of a beautiful home situated on back waters of a very large lake. In between a wedding rehearsal/dinner one day and the ceremony late afternoon the next, we were able to relax and enjoy the many amenities for multi-generation guests. The the plate of "welcome to our home" cookies were delicious! Thank you!
Property was well maintained, very comfortable and quite beautiful. We certainly enjoyed our stay! The extra touches like boxes of Kleenex, written notes/suggestions and fully functional laundry machines were greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
We chose this location as a nice place to stay for a family wedding held at Tudor House on this lake. Enjoyed the patio and having a common area for our family to gather - way better than a hotel! Thanks for sharing your home!
The host was quick with communication and the property is beautiful. Backyard butts up against the channel so you can see the sunsets and boats passing through. Very lovely and highly recommend.
Great stay.! All amenities were as communicated and then some. Hosts left fresh baked cookie bars at initial check in. Only negative was towels in Master Bathroom seemed not clean, but we were able to changeout with other towels in closet.
We look forward to another visit in warmer months...
Everything about this trip was just perfect!
We had two families staying so that we could attend a concert at Blossom music center.
The home was spacious, beautiful, relaxing, clean and just perfect on the water! The ride to blossom was easy and not too long!
I am really hoping to go back again!!
We traveled to Ohio to see the total eclipse and catch an Akron RubberDucks game. This was a perfect spot for both. Convenient, clean, comfortable, quiet and SPACIOUS! We just relaxed. We would 100% stay here again and again if we ever return to the area.
Beautiful location to have a small family gathering. The place was much better stocked vs. Other VRBO's we have stayed out in past. Also, the hosts were very friendly. Conversely, we did not enjoy bed comfort. Moreover, better mattresses & a nicer grill would be highly recommended.
We were welcomed by pretty flowers and delicious cookies on the kitchen table left by our hosts, Dave & Marty.
The accommodations were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The Property is along a water way which
leads out to the lake. There is a nice patio outside of the kitchen to grill and socialize or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. One evening Dave & Marty connected with us from their deck above and we found them to be very nice folks! Hope to be able to stay here again!
Stayed for just a few nights with our Labrador. Neighborhood is quiet walkable with 25 mph side streets. Upon entry into the unit you are at small landing at top of stairs, we decided we would clean the dogs paws in the garage then enter the unit, as more space. Nice patio entry from kitchen to the backyard. You can hear the owners walking around upstairs occasionally, not a huge problem just took our hyperalert dog some time to get used to. Cleanliness was good, their were some dead bugs but I would anticipate they would get cleaned during deep spring cleaning. We didn't have to clean anything to make our stay enjoyable. Enjoyed the Zero filter water for the well water.
Upon arrival Dave stepped out to say hello and introduce himself. It was nice to be welcomed. Entry into the unit was easy and the instructions well communicated.
The unit itself is well appointed and stocked with about anything you might have forgot to pack. There has been a good amount of consideration put into conveniences made available to the guests.
Cleanliness - It was clean, but showed signs of not having received a deep cleaning in a while - cobwebs in the bathroom, dog fur on the couch, stuff on top of the carpet (traffic areas vacuumed) and the countertops needed wiped down.
Gnats - Once settled in we started noticing gnats (various sizes). I spayed some cleaner in all the sinks and let the water run for a few minutes. This did greatly reduce them, but never completely eliminated them.
Noise - Sliding door in the unit (residence) above - the sound of the door opening and closing really comes through to the downstairs unit. It was not too bad while the primary residence where there. But they had a family gathering and the opening and closing of the door had become unsettling. Combined with the stomping of children's feet on the floor and an occasional toy being dropped on the hard surface floor above was disturbing. The weather had turned bad and everyone had to go inside.
We sent the owner a text message at 9:50pm and the noise almost immediately stopped. He replied in the AM saying he missed the message, but believed everyone had just left.
