Rooms were old and in need of an update. Food quality was adequate. Stayed at several all inclusive hotels over the years and this hotel was on the lower end for food, amenities, and services. Location was walkable to beach and a close bolt/uber ride to old town albufeira. Would only recommend if looking for a low end all-inclusive hotel stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at NAU São Rafael Suites in September. Everything — and I mean everything — was PERFECT! We spent peaceful days swimming in the sea, reading books, and enjoying the stunning design of the hotel as well as the natural beauty of Albufeira and the Marina. Our suite (105, on the top floor) was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed — it truly felt like a home away from home. The views were incredible, and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. A special mention goes to the wonderful staff: incredibly warm, friendly, and always helpful. Their hospitality made all the difference and elevated our experience from great to unforgettable. If you're looking for a peaceful environment, large rooms with amazing views, and genuine hospitality, you must stay here. Massive thanks to the entire management team for a truly memorable vacation. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the hotel as a group of friends in a triple connecting room, room 209. As we were getting closer to the trip, I was a little bit concerned about some of the negative reviews recently left on Google reviews; given the price, I didn’t go in to expect a platinum five star hotel, and in all honesty, I set my expectations a lot lower! I needn’t have done this, we had a fantastic stay, Thursday to Sunday. The aesthetics as you approach the hotel had already started to put my mind at ease. The triple room was amazing and surpassed our expectations, three en suites, a huge balcony spanning the width too, we loved it. Clean, with everything you could need. No noise from adjoining rooms at all. We had the premium all inclusive option which meant we had access to the spa, premium drinks options and could dine one night for free at the a la carte restaurant. Would return and highly recommend!

Hotel Review Our stay was overall very pleasant. The staff were great—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The rooms were large, spacious, and well-appointed, and we appreciated being accommodated for a room change to get a better view. The amount of closet space in the suite was also fantastic, which is a rare treat in most hotels. The food was very good, especially the salads, which were fresh and full of flavour. Some of the meats, however, were a bit hit or miss—some lacked tenderness or depth of taste—but overall the dining experience was enjoyable. Would be nice to have real juices as well. One area that could be improved is housekeeping. The cleaning style followed what I was told is more of an American approach, where the beds aren’t crisply made—more of a “cover pulled over” look. Once I realised that, I ended up making the bed myself to get it looking neater. There were also a few minor details missed, like wine stains on the table that hadn’t been wiped properly. If that’s the intended cleaning style, it might be helpful for guests to have some basic cleaning supplies available, though ideally, surfaces should just be cleaned as part of the service.

Greated by a very friendly reception team. From then down hill! Greater for breakfast and lunch struggled to even ask for your room number, made to feel an inconvenience more interested in her phone and talking to colleagues. Evening great great remember our room number after 1 evening and greater with a big smile. Lady at the bar around the pool very welcoming. Hotel full off middle aged men playing golf and when not playing getting wasted on the all inclusive menu, felt at times like you were in the middle of stag parties when they weren’t playing golf. Not really appropriate for families and kids at this point. Hotel is now dated, visited years ago and apart from reception being updated the rooms are not, furniture and rooms are tired and need money spent updating. No tea and coffee facilities in the room, that’s not 5 stars! Sorry certainly not how I remember and won’t be going back! Lots of better hotels to choose from on that coastline trust me!

Amazing hotel. Already 2nd time staying here. Front office team is amazing. They are very welcoming, friendly, professional. Huge thank you for such efforts to accommodate us in our room earlier. Room is huge, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, balcony, spacius,clean. Amazing service from housekeeping keeping our room clean. Loved the amenities in bathroom with branded L'Occitane products. Restaurant is great, food is super delicious, big varieties of different dishes. Loved the services at restaurant, all the staff is super attentive. 2 pools, plenty of space to stay around even if the hotel is fully booked. Good food at the snack bar by the pool. Loved the 'juice of the day', of course cocktails. Spa is good, worth to visit. Overall our stay was amazing, coming vack next year.
