Inside the bar area was welcoming. We arrived Friday night so the bar was busy, and there was a disco ongoing. They also had the football on large screens. Staff were pleasant, but the room was extremely dated. It was very damp smelling and affected my asthma. The bathroom is tiny, but functional. Nice flufffy towels, but only soap and shampoo by way of complimentary bathroom products. No hairdryer in the room. The beds were acceptable for one night, but sleeping was difficult given the ongoing loud music until midnight then other guests being loud in the corridors either leaving the bar or entering their rooms. The ground floor bedrooms are next to the carpark, so cars are parked next to the window. We didn’t have breakfast as it doesn’t start until 8am, so can't comment on that. I would say, if you’re staying for a function and just need somewhere to lay your head, this is fine for that. They were so lovely and made us feel so welcome. Very helpful hosts. Room was small but good size for a night. Bar was very busy during dinner (good sign), variety of meals, and plenty of parking. But chipped paint, stained grout in the bathroom, solid pillows, cheap duvet, marked carpet, no hairdryer, old blind at the window, noisy/ broken extractor fan, thin walls and heard someone on the toilet one side andvomiting on the other!! On a housing estate & bar was noisy and roudy, full of workmen. Didn’t feel unsafe & room was quiet, so did what I needed but sadly would not return.
