Overnight on the way to the beach

Our family stopped in for an overnight stay on the way to the beach. The staff was excellent ,cleanliness was top notch ,the breakfast selection was perfect. Stop in you’ll love it.

We’ve stay there before and the experience was better this time. The guy working the check in was extremely helpful and nice; you could tell he took pride in his job. He also was accommodating to get us in a room earlier than check, which was nice since we had been up for 30 hours. We will stay there again if we travel to that area.

Clean and comfortable

Traveling for wedding. Rachel was phenomenal! She was able to get us checked in and in our room with efficiency and a smile. Room was clean and super roomy. We had a room with king bed. Room had fridge and microwave. A little dated but clean and comfortable.

The Hampton Inn was very clean and neat with a wonderful variety at their breakfast option. There was a problem when we checked in and 2 credit cards were charged instead of one. Monique was very professional and, hopefully one of the cards will be refunded.

My boss had rental a lake house for his family and asked my husband and I to join them for Labor Day weekend at Lake Martin. He rented this hotel due to its very convenient location to the house (10min). The hotel was fine. It’s a bit older but clean and the A/C was terrific after a long hot day on the lake. We only ate the free breakfast the last day as we went over to my bosses Lakehouse to eat breakfast every morning. On the last day we grabbed breakfast and it was good. It was also nice to have grab and go bags to take with us for our trip back home. They had a bottle of water, an apple, a bagel, a napkin, and some jelly and peanut butter in each bag. They seemed a bit stingy with the towels in the room, wish we didn’t have to ask for more everyday. They only were servicing rooms every other day so on our Sunday-Wednesday stay we didn’t get service at all (which seems like we should have gotten serviced on Tuesday since we checked in on Sunday and checked out on Wednesday morning). Overall I would stay here again due to the cleanliness and the convenience to the Lake and local places.

The staff were very friendly. The rooms had dirty socks left in the room. The toilet was running when we walked into the room the first time. Spots were all over the walls. The carpet stuck to our feet! Like slimy carpet! Wasn’t a great feel! Had to wear socks the entire time so I didn’t get creeped out!

Alabama without air conditioning feels like h*ll

The first room we were in had a broken AC that the employees knew about and warned us might not work with a view of dumpsters full of old mattresses. The second night was a lot better because the air was working. The employees especially Megan were awesome and tried to help as much as possible but overall the hotel was rubbish. Went outside a few times and the card access to get back in was “iffy” at best on everything except the main door. Overall 1 out of 10 would not recommend.

The hotel was being remodeled. The room had just been completed but there was mold at the bottom of the shower. The room was otherwise clean. Staff at the hotel was combative and aggressive. We requested both extra pillows and towels and was told they don’t have any. Front desk staff and my partner had a confrontation and then we were charged our deposit for damaging towels. Retaliation? We did submit a formal complaint.

Staff was great! I had two beds and one of them had BED BUGS!!! Oh my gosh!!! Crawling on me and biting me! I PAID $150 A NIGHT FOR THIS!!! I COULD HAVE PAID $68 A NIGHT NEXT DOOR AT DAYS INN The area where the ice machine was located had ceiling panels that fell due to some sort of leak. On my first day there the ice machine didn't even have any ice. I stayed on the first floor.

No Ice machines working in entire Hotel!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facility very clean. Breakfast area exceptionally clean. However, my main complaint was none of the ice machines worked in the building. NO ICE!!! Breakfast bar apples were old and there was nothing but whole milk available. No skim or low fat.
