"So much room to spread out, both inside and outside this manoir, lofty ceilings, huge fireplaces, history abounds at Quatre Vents. The pool is magnificent and clean, the bar and pizza oven are great fun and perfect for entertaining on the long hot evenings in this part of the world, fresh figs from the garden etc… Thank you for a perfect stay."

"Séjour agréable, la résidence de plein air est agréable et bien entretenue. En revanche, on a eu beaucoup de difficultés à les joindre car il s'est avéré que leur box était HS, pas possibilités de faire les CB, (caution et paiement), et on n'a pas pu du tout joindre l'établissement pour préparer notre arrivée, et cela nous a valu des sueurs froides, car on ne savait pas comment récupérer les clefs -, sachant que c'était un dimanche . On a dû changer notre agenda, pour arriver pendant les heures...

"We stayed here for 1 week in August 2017 with a further 2 families. Our children were aged from 12 to 16. Everything was absolutely perfect. There is so much space and so many different things to do that the children were never bored. The house and the pool are stunning - the pictures don't do it justice. Nicolas & Sandrine were lovely hosts. We will almost certainly return to enjoy this beautiful home again."

"A lovely stay in a beautiful house. It was wonderful to sit by the pool and look at the incredible view, eat cheese and wine under the tree and explore the local area. The children loved sleeping in one room together and the adults were far enough away not to hear them! Thank you for having us."

"the house was spacious, all services were available. the kids had a lot of fun in the pool. the landlords were very friendly, they were discreetly present on site and available when needed. The house is secluded in a quiet neighborhood. by car were a number of nice villages to visit in the area. definitely recommended to stay here."

"We have spend an amazing week in this holiday home. The house was perfect for our 3 families with young children. The pool was perfect for the children: with steps and a safety fence. The owners live right next door but they are very nice and we didn’t see them at all, unless we needed help with something. We highly recommend this holiday home!"

Perfect place to think and unwind

"This was the most perfect place to think and unwind over a week, while being able to head out and see nearby sites. The pool, pizza oven, and barbeque allowed us to relax and chat; the grounds allowed us enough space not to be crowded. Perfect!"

The farmhouse is big; set in green grounds but isolated - too far to walk into Aiguillon. A petrol station and a supermarket are a short drive. You drive to access any river, pool or beach.The shaded area under a canopy of vines with plastic table, chairs and BBQ is good for eating outside.That's the only outside facility, apart from the garden which you could walk in. The lounge and the dining room are big with an eclectic mix of furniture. The two large bedrooms have comfortable, clean beds, wooden floors and rugs. One bedroom lacks drawers; it has a wardrobe and a knitting machine which you could put things on. The other has a cupboard for wardrobe; lots of coat hangers, but musty - we left the doors open. The large dining kitchen has a range of freestanding white goods and appliances which work fine. The host uses part of the freezer - still plenty of room. The only small worktop is a cracked, tiled one which is hard to keep clean. Plenty of dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. Kitchen cutlery worn /needs cleaned. Wooden implements, chopping board, kitchen knives need replaced. Plenty of cleaning materials, toilet rolls, etc. Host stores own old stuff in cupboards. Drawers have lots of odds and ends in. Fire safety concerns; huge boiler - no CM detector, big house - much wood / polystyrene tiles - only one smoke detector on ground floor."
