“Wonderful stay in Apollonas.
Stamatis, the owner was very helpful and kindly upgraded our room as the hotel was still quiet - the first week of May.
Sadly we were unable to try the best moussaka in the EU as the restaurant hadn’t opened early in the season.
The standard of cleanliness was exceptional and the room had clearly been renovated over the winter.
The only things that were not 10/10 were -
1. WiFi signal was weak or occasionally dropped out in the room but full outside on the……
“Fabulous stay at the Grotta hotel in Naxos, we would absolutely stay with them if we come to Naxos again. Wonderful breakfast buffet included beats any we have had all over the world. Beautiful views, fabulous hospitality an authentic Greek experience!”

“The staff here are so sweet. I assume they’re the owners. It’s like visiting your grandmas house. They were so kind when I arrived, they gave me a little desert as soon as I walked through the door and offered me a shot of some spirit. They knew my name, asked me about my travels, told me about the island, handed me a map, and had helpful suggestions. My room was clean and everything worked as it should. The view was absolutely beautiful, the mountains to the got and the sea to the left from……
“Archetypo is a great budget friendly option. Very quaint, with a lovely host, Mina. We were offered room service breakfast every day and free shuttle service from and to the airport. Not really in an easily walkable distance to most of the restaurants and shops. Mina gave very helpful recommendations of restaurants and things to do.”

“This is a hotel right on the beach with a superb sandy back exit into the Mediterranean . Perfect location because of proximity to Naxos Town (Chora) and many cafes and excellent restaurants . Maria is an excellent host , helpful and hospitable . Everything is laid back , but you can find many interesting places on the island if you rent a car (Maria will help with that too) .
Breakfast is good , the terrace is overlooking the sea , we spent a wonderful week here and will highly recommend it .”
“Great location 100 yards from the Aegean Sea with Sea front restaurant’s. Exactly 12 minute walk to the port, where you are able to shop a large variety store and restaurants. The town square and the old shopping district is within 10 minutes from the Hotel. Excellent home made buffet breakfast served daily. Accommodation were excellent along with daily housekeeping. The owner’s Spiros and his wife (Sideri) are very friendly and welcoming and treat you like family.”
