Guest Access:

Guests have private access to the entire home, including the fully equipped kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, bathroom, deck, fenced backyard, gas grill, fire pit, lawn games, and the provided amenities.



The backyard offers direct access to the nearby public green space, trails, and gardens. Please enjoy the outdoor area while respecting trail users, neighbors, gardens, and wildlife.



Self check-in is available with a keypad lock, so you can arrive at your convenience. Your personal door code and detailed arrival instructions will be sent before check-in.



Any locked or clearly marked owner, supply, or storage areas are not available for guest use.



The Neighborhood:

Well established neighborhood with lots of giant trees lining the streets. The backyard boarders on what used to be a private golf course, but is now public green space with 72 acres of trails and gardens. It's so beautiful, and it's right in the backyard!



You can walk to downtown in about 15 minutes (or drive in about 3-5) and enjoy a number of great restaurants, bars, shops, and a fantastic performing arts center. Lawrence University is also close, being just at the edge of downtown.



Getting Around:

Appleton Trailside Retreat is in a quiet, walkable neighborhood with direct access to 72 acres of nearby trails and gardens—great for walking, running, biking, or taking your dog out.



Downtown Appleton, College Avenue, Lawrence University, restaurants, shops, and the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center are about a 15-minute walk or a quick 3–5 minute drive away. A vehicle is recommended for exploring the greater Fox Cities area, and free parking is available at the home.



Uber and Lyft are available in Appleton. Valley Transit also serves Appleton and nearby communities, with bus service generally running weekdays from 5:45 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:45 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; check current routes and schedules before relying on public transit.



Other Things to Note:

This private home is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please be respectful of neighbors and keep outdoor noise low, especially during evening hours.



The backyard borders public trails and gardens. Dogs are welcome, but please clean up after them, keep them supervised, and use a leash when off the property.



Guests may enjoy the deck, gas grill, lawn games, and fire pit. Please never leave the grill or fire pit unattended, and make sure both are fully off before going inside.



The home uses keypad self check-in. No parties, events, unregistered guests, smoking, or vaping are permitted.

We will give you your space and let you enjoy OUR space uninterrupted. If you have any questions or needs, we're just a text or phone call away. I work in town and have a second house just down the street so I can usually stop over within a few minutes in the unlikely event any issues would arise.
