This is a must visit for everyone. The host, forgive me for my spelling, Clodagh is the most amazing woman. She shared her cheerful self with us and we couldn't help but fall in love with the place. It has a gorgeous ambiance, stunning views, and the breakfast is excellent. Please book this for yourself!

We thoroughly enjoyed out two night stay at Barrow Lodge from the minute we arrived to when we left. Clodagh is an exceptional hostess, giving us the warmest welcome, and really useful advice on where to go for food and what to see. The room was big, clean with a lovely view of the estuary. Breakfast was fabulous. We've been recommending it to everyone since we left as it's a little gem and we'd definitely go back. If you're in the area, stay here!

Clodagh is an amazing host. She was so accommodating to all of our needs. The property is beautiful and to rooms were pristine. Breakfast was delicious. We plan on staying here on our next visit.

I can’t say enough about this property and especially the owner. Very personable and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the recommendation for dinner was exactly the cap off of a wonderful day. The bed was warm and inviting and comfortable. Loved sitting at the window looking out at the sea. Great place to unwind.

The place is updated and very nice. Bed was very comfortable. The area is gorgeous as you are on an inlet and beach within walking distance or a very quick drive. Our host was so nice. We really liked her. The breakfast was just incredible. Rooms are so solid you don't hear a peep from anyone else and you have your own entrance. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolute perfection

The only night of our trip I did not prebook, and we hit the jackpot! Clodagh’s place is gorgeous, luxurious, ideally located on the water, and close to the action but far enough away to be a peaceful haven. The room was huge and well stocked, breakfast was sumptuous, and meeting Clodagh was like reconnecting with an old friend. Highly recommend! I want to come back and stay a week.

My wife and I had a wonderful (though too short) stay at Barrow Lodge. Our host was the epitome of friendliness and helpfulness, providing suggestions for local gems. The room was perfect with lovely decor, a long tub to soak in, and a gorgeous view of the water. The breakfast was entirely homemade, with many options. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

My husband and I did a 10 day trip across the entire island of Ireland, and our stop at Barrow Lodge was a major highlight! The location was serene, the view was incredible, it was the most comfortable bed and best shower of any of the other hotels, and the breakfast was beyond words! Claudia was a phenomenal host, we felt so welcome and wish we could have stayed longer! I am hoping we can return again soon.
