"My husband and I brought our newborn for his first trip away from home, and we picked the perfect home for it! It was very clean and quiet, and it was helpful to have access to a laundry machine. We were close by to Shenandoah and went on a few hikes and tried some great restaurants in the area. We look forward to coming back soon!"

"Secluded location though a short drive to Shenandoah Natl Park. Fronts on a creek with relaxing sounds of moving water. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great; the furniture downstairs could use an upgrade. Large kitchen area with everything we needed. A nice place to escape for a few days."

"Could not be any happier…Hensley Hollow Lodge was fantastic!!! We were so pleasantly surprised at how a home that can accommodate/slerp 22 was truly spacious enough to be together without being on top of each other and the views were spectacular! Beds (& pillows) were very comfortable. Easy drive (10-12 minutes) to a grocery. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need (2 coffee pots and even 2 crock pots!). "A great House plenty of room for 4 to 8 guest, a god Pet property. Bedrooms are comfortable, but no TVs in bedrooms , fireplaces are excellent and the the hot a welcome treat, The negative issues are the Dishwasher isn’t settled properly and causes leaks, the oven needs a deep cleaning, we heated Pizza and Smoked us out, we got most of our house info by email with Management and Bradley was very prompt with our requests. "Met college buddies here for a three night stay before we attended our 40th college reunion. The house was absolutely perfect for us—-clean, cozy and comfortable. We hiked both days (Rose River Trail and Old Rag Mountain Loop) and found Doug’s hiking binder to be so helpful getting us oriented to the area. He also sent a fabulous email detailing restaurants, shops and hikes. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the nearby Paddy O’s in darling Washington. We also visited The Corner Store in...

"The home is situated in a great location. The back of the house faces the Robinson River - it's a very nice view. There are trails leading down to the river, a private pond, fire pits in several locations (unfortunately we couldn't use the fire pits because of the wildfires but I imagine it could be fun especially the one close to the river). There are hammocks everywhere, plenty of space for kids and dogs to run around. The home is rustic, lots of natural light and equipped with a fireplace....

"I couldn't tell from the photos how close the house is to the road, and I was concerned that cars might make noise or runover the dog. The house is tucked back from the road on a rise over a small field, surrounded by trees on three sides. The road was not problem at all. You couldn't see it or hear it. The fire pit has nice Adirondack chairs around it."

"We had a great time staying at the Squirrel’s Nest. The location is secluded but still only 15 minutes away from Shenandoah. The cabin was warm & cozy and a perfect escape from everyday life. Hot tub was a plus!"
