“Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The building was clean and stylish. The accessible room was a little scuffed. The safe battery ran out. Barn door off its track. But the location and safety are excellent.”

“An elegant old house tastefully redeveloped, with large, comfortable and stylish rooms. Great location close to breweries, wineries and hiking and not far from Charlottesville. So, mostly good but the administrative and customer-service side could be better. We weren't sent the code for the front door and another couple we met weren't sent the code for their room. I received the checkout instructions after having already left the property. ”

“The manor is a beautiful historical building. It was amazing to see the every room as it must have looked in the early 1800's! Although breakfast is not provided at this time, there are three kitchens to choose from if you would like to use one while staying there. My stay was a great experience!”

“The cabin is cute, but the property beside it looks down on the cabin so not much privacy or a view. There's no dishwasher, oven, or even a hair dryer here. When it rains the water turns rusty, thus is not drinkable and they don't leave bottled water for you or offer to help with that so that limits showers, toilets turned rusty, couldn't make coffee etc. The property was a little overgrown when we arrived as well. But a person came while we were there and cut the grass.”

“If you plan to go to this area frankly there is no better alternative. From the charming rooms and staff to the excellent meals, Babcock is a great place to stay.”
