“An absolutely charming place. It is a very cozy house and the treatment is very familiar. The room we had really spacious and perfectly decorated, which highlights the large vintage collection of iron plates and other antiques. The owner very friendly and fun, with an excellent service of homemade breakfast. Maximum cleaning in the room. Comfortable bed. Excellent wifi. I do not think there's a better place in Caribou. “The newly renovated lobby was beautiful. It was a very nice place to sit and wait for the rest of our group when we were heading out. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping did a great job every day. The bar and restaurant for breakfast had great wait staff and good offerings. The only negative was no elevator to get to the second floor. The gentleman working the front desk did help us bring some of the luggage up, however. I would definitely go stay there again.”

“I was looking for a stay for just one night. It was an unexpected stay due to prior arrangement the next morning I wanted a place that was simply clean and comfortable. Didn’t need anything that was crazy and I wanted something that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. This place fit the bill looks to be an older building that has been upgraded, which I don’t mind and everything was clean, tidy, and the bed was comfortable.”

“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left...
