"Reviews said the hot tube was not very hot, wrong. The tub was perfect. The only problem for us was getting the shower to stay one temperature. The water was either to hot or to cold. Breakfast was great, beds were comfortable, great WiFi was very good. We were on the south coast for three days and the location was perfect."

"Would have been helpful to know at the time of booking that needed separate bus ticket to go to the location. Fortunately the property reached out so we knew this ahead of our trip. Unfortunately, we didn’t know the accommodation also required you to bring your own sleeping bag. Luckily the facility had linen to “rent” but of course with everything in Iceland it came with a hefty price."

"Skalakot Manor was a gem surrounded by stunning scenery, and the most beautiful Icelandic horses You really feel like you’re staying in someone’s home as a very special guest. The bedding was top-notch and the dining room food was fantastic. It is pricey, but very worth it. And the staff is helpful, warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to stay there next time."

"The tents were comfortable, clean, and warm. The overall property was good, the bathroom was fine and clean, the general areas were clean, the grass was well maintained, but the showers were not so great. I found the shower area dirty. It was at the very end of the day so maybe I just caught it at a bad time, but that would be my only issue. I would go back."

"This hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life. Restaurant was delicious, apartment was clean, quiet and spacious. The hotel is convenient to waterfalls and Vik. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the south coast."

"I would like to comment on a review sent by Michele for her stay on August 5. I was a guest here at this wonderful guest house at the same time as her and her abusive husband. I was walking by the lobby and heard her rather large husband absolutely screaming and these 2 young women. He was upset about breakfast from what I understand and even though I saw them in the dining room eating breakfast with no issues but as soon as they ate everything they wanted they apparently were not satisfied and wanted a refund. They should have said something before they finished their whole breakfast if they were not satisfied. I’m not sure where they are from but everything is expensive in Iceland and if they could not afford it then maybe going to a cheaper country would be better for them. But her husband was clearly trying to intimidate these nice young ladies who did give him a refund. Luckily I was the only guest still to not check out yet and had to intervene as he was getting very aggressive and I could see these poor women who are in a very remote location were getting very scared. The woman at the desk even offered to call the tour guide as they were friends with the guide. If I were the guide I would cancel their appointment as there are long waiting lists for these tours I wouldn’t want this bully anywhere near my tour. He said he was going to ruin their business by leaving bad reviews so I just wanted to say this place is amazing and please check it out"
