Just 15 minutes from Athens but a world away from stress and noise. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is tucked at the end of a country road and is freshly renovated stem to stern. Large open great room with a wall of windows draws in nature. Two spacious bedrooms and 2 spacious baths make it comfortable for everyone who stays. Gorgeous hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, natural slate tile baths, and every amenity places this home at the intersection of luxurious and woodsy. Huge deck for relaxing or taking a dip in the hot tub. Quiet country setting gets you away from city life, but you're just a short drive from Ohio University, restaurants, movies, shopping, art centers/museum, Strouds Run State Park, and plenty of outdoor recreation. Headed to the Bailey's Trail System or Hocking Hills? You're looking at a quick 25/45 minute drive respectively. This one is for the quiet life....no parties and a maximum 4 guests. Everything you need is supplied, including bedding, toiletries, and supplies, and it has a fully outfitted kitchen too.

Great cabin in the woods

What a beautiful and serene getaway! We truly enjoyed our stay. This guest house was very comfortable and the view from the large glass windows in the living room/kitchen space was gorgeous. We made good use of the luxurious hot tub in the evenings and experienced a really relaxing weekend. We liked the house so much that we hung out in it for most of our visit to the Athens area!

Amazing place near Athens!

We absolutely loved our stay! We came in for our daughter's college orientation. The place was close to Athens - very easy drive to campus. The home was clean, decorated very nicely, comfortable, and well stocked with towels, coffee, etc. We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely place!

This is my new favorite place to stay when visiting family in Guysville! For this trip it was me and my 90 year-old dad - the interior layout was perfect for him. The home is very comfortable, clean and well-appointed, not to mention the beauty of being surrounded by trees. I will certainly stay at Hawk Ridge again.

Beautiful Winter Getaway

Hawk’s Ridge is a wonderful place! Stayed here for our daughter’s graduation from OU. Close enough to be a part of everything in Athens and far enough away to feel like you’re away from it all. Beautiful home and surrounds - the hot tub is ideal at the end of long day hiking. Our host was very responsive to our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for a great family occasion. Motorcycle trip

Place was beautiful and peaceful, we enjoyed the surrounding woods and seeing deer near by. The only complaint is that there wasnt a very good description of the long hill driveway with gravel, and that’s only because we had motorcycles. But we managed and really enjoyed ourselves, would go back for sure:)

Anniversary get away

Absolutely beautiful! Every detail was thought of by the property owner. Very clean, comfortable, peaceful. The perfect get away. The hot tub was great and the fire pit was close. We even got to meet the neighborhood cat named Grainger. We stayed celebrating 2 anniversaries with family. Everyone had room to move. We will be back!

Another great stay at our favorite place

We’ve been coming here for several years, and this was another all-5s experience for us. We didn’t use the hot tub or the TV much this time, though both looked nice. Very clean, very comfortable and very communicative. We visited the Saturday morning farmers market and uptown music/arts festival, hiked the bike path and up to Radar Hill, shopped uptown and dined at JackieO’s & Little Fish Looking forward to getting back, and will look to Hawk Ridge Retreat first.

Absolutely Perfect Property

My husband and I came into town for a football game to see our son. Another couple joined us. The property is amazing. All of the accommodations are comfortable and the property has everything you might need. The owner has taken great care in the comfort of their guests, from beautiful bedding, extra blankets and towels, and a well stocked kitchen. A very quiet property where the you can enjoy the outdoors from the deck and hot tub, as well as from the amazing picture windows indoors. The communication was great with the owner. We will definitely be back. Great stay!

A breath of fresh air!

My husband, daughter and I had an incredible stay at the truly beautiful Hawk’s Ridge Retreat! The location couldn't have been better – just a short drive to OUs campus and uptown Athens. The house is cozy yet spacious. It’s been thoughtfully decorated and immaculately cleaned. The hosts were very responsive with any questions we have and the booking process was super easy. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern amenities and fully equipped kitchen, making my stay feel like a home away from home (and even better w a little one!). The highlight was definitely the easy access to the university campus and the vibrant town atmosphere, as well as the calm and comfort of being able to take a deep breath and relax in the hot tub, surrounded by nature. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and memorable stay.
