This resort has the potential to be 5-star if they can get their “front of house” figured out. First - the room and general accommodations, location and beach access are amazing. Here’s where they lose points - you cannot get around the grounds on foot - the reception is half way up the hill, and once u check in you have to park at the very top (which gets locked at 7pm) and the meet you with valet golf cart service - which at first seemed great, until we found out it wasn’t unlimited service. We did get cart service to our reservation for dinner and the wait staff arranged pick up and return to our room - there were a few folks waiting who hadn’t prearranged this. The return back in the dark, very windy cart paths were, at times, a bit scary. But the driver was courteous and safe. The check out is at 11! Which we thought was awesome bc our room included bfast so we planned to go eat around 830 then spend an hour leisurely packing up with one last coffee on our deck (with award winning views!) but NO. We were informed that we could only get cart service to our car and we would have to drive to bfast - so here’s the thing - you can’t (like ur not allowed) walk from the parking back to the rooms - and honestly u wouldn’t want to - it’s steep and designed for the carts. Customer service - apart from the cart drivers - was lacking, young likely poorly trained staff seemed relatively disinterested in providing the advertised 5-star service But - the potential is def there.

This resort needs to be more upfront about the fact that many rooms require a wait for a goldfish cart pick up or a long walk on a very steep hill to get to and from. Also the restaurant onsite is often not available for supper on weekends due to wedding bookings.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Castaway Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — they were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. Our villa had breathtaking views and was perfectly located near the beach and even a paragliding spot, which made the experience even more special. Waking up to the scenery like that felt like a dream. If you're looking for a true “castaway” escape to recharge and disconnect from the crowds, this is the perfect place. Peaceful, beautiful, and rejuvenating — we can’t wait to come back!

The property is beautiful with an incredible view from the chalet, very calming and peaceful. Breakfast was great but very understaffed in the restaurant at dinner. We waited a long time to be served and then to receive drinks and meals. Lots of tables needed to be cleared of dirty plates. Friendly and helpful people but clearly very understaffed.

Absolutely MAJESTIC!!! We stayed in a 1 bedroom Villa and that itself was a vacation. The view was absolutely stunning. Waking up and having coffee on the huge balcony was like out of a dream. The service was phenomenal, the communication was phenomenal and might I say this price was phenomenal! My wife and I highly recommend!

Disappointing Stay at Castaways Resort! I was really looking forward to my stay at Castaways Resort, but unfortunately the experience was far from what I expected. There was no daily housekeeping service, no fresh towels, no trash removal, nothing. For the price of the stay, that’s simply unacceptable. We requested towels and they were never delivered. The room itself was also very disappointing. There was no dresser or usable storage, which made it difficult to unpack, and the balcony had no furniture, so it was basically unusable. It felt unfinished and not at all like what was advertised for a “5 star resort”. The bed didn’t even have a fitted sheet. To make matters worse, I requested a call from the general manager twice, and never received any kind of response. The lack of communication and customer service was extremely frustrating. The only positive was the view. The restaurant was underwhelming at best. Overall, I left feeling extremely let down and would not recommend Castaways Resort based on this experience.

View was amazing but that is probably it. The rooms were a little outdated but the overall stay was good. Hotel breakfast was average, with small selection of hot food, bread and dessert. Check-out was annoying as there was only one person at the counter, so if the person at the front of the queue had an issue to resolve, everyone else had to wait. There were multiple teams who had major issues with room service so had to stand there for over 20 minutes just to hand over the keys.
