Guests can enjoy a scenic view of Lady Bird Lake and the city beyond while taking a walk along The Boardwalk. Getting Around: We recommend that guests rent a car during your stay in Austin as many of Austin’s best attractions and fun things to do are scattered around the city and much more convenient when accessed by car. While there are certainly public transportation options such as buses and individual transportation options such as scooters/bikes/mopeds, these options are mainly convenient and readily available around the downtown Austin area and quickly becomes sparse even a couple miles outside of city center. Bugs and creatures such as silverfish, earwigs, cockroaches/waterbugs, scorpions, spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, flies, snails, moths, ants, etc. are all very common in Texas and the South in general, and might show up in the home from time-to-time. The presence of a few of these critters, especially if they are found dead, does not indicate any sort of infestation in the home, as usually it's just the critters trying to escape the blistering heat or the freezing cold like everyone else. Pets ARE allowed depending on size and are subject to pet fees. Please let us know beforehand and add the pet count to the reservation and be upfront about bringing a pet to avoid cancellation. Drive by shootings and crack houses describe the neighborhood best. We had it rented for four nights during Austin City Limits first weekend. We walked in and walked straight back out. Didn’t even spend 10 minutes there. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep. The place smelled like cigarettes and there were literally 100 cigarette butts exactly 4 feet from the front door. I couldn’t come to any compromise with the property manager on a refund. Buyer beware and bring your pistol. You’re gonna need it under your pillow if you can get any sleep. ##### Michael K.
