Great place!
This was such a wonderful house! Close to downtown, the view is stunning !!! The golf cart was a must! Full kitchen and plenty of space! I am so glad you chose this house over a hotel. We will definitely stay here again!

Better then expected
This rental is fantastic. It’s an older home filled with charm and very comfortable. It’s hilltop location allows for gorgeous ocean views. This place is a very easy walk to the beach and town. It is on a hill so the walk back is pretty steep but the rental includes a golf cart so you have that option as well. The golf cart was a huge bonus to this property, it made everything easy and allowed us to explore more of the area. There is also a unit below this rental which we had family members in rent and it worked out great. The rental company was very helpful and responsive as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Let me start by saying, the view is beautiful. I would definitely not recommend this home for someone with small kids. It’s on a very steep hill and they have several flights of stairs to walk up to your unit. I did expect the unit to be a little cleaner but over all we still had a nice visit. The golf cart was also a definite plus!

Nice, cozy vacation rental with a phenomenal view of the town. You are greeted by a friendly outdoor cat whenever you step outside the property. The rental was more than enough space for 4 adults, although the guest shower/bathroom is definitely a bit small. There were only a few towels/TP included, but they got the job done across a 3-day stay. The included golf cart was extremely helpful to navigate the town. I would recommend this rental for anyone looking for a lowkey, cabin-like vibe!

Great home with a Cat greeter
We were greeted warmly by a very affectionate, large kitty we named Chonkers. Pictures of the house online are pretty accurate, the view there is amazing, the rooms were small and home is on the older side. Lighting was poor in the bedrooms. The golf cart was a huge plus.

First off the property manager is the one of the nicest down to earth people you will ever meet. My family and I arrived earlier than check in and he accommodated us. The view there is spectacular! The place was clean and had everything you need. The golf cart worked great and was such a blessing to have as a bonus!! I would absolutely stay here again!

Class A view, class C property
Bedroom ceiling leaking water on floor ,four places. Hard to sleep. Called property manager twice, no response at all after several days. Window glass louvers stuck in open position.,so cold when trying to sleep. Roll up blind of the view window broken. Had to roll up by hand. Kitchen area greasy. Walls and doors dirty and need repainting and cleaning. Main room ceiling water stained. BBQ on three foot wood deck with wood over hang, a fire danger and probably a fire code violation. Property was a ClassB in May. The view is class A. The property is C at best now in its current condition. At $500 plus a night, there are many other properties in Avalon with views that are way better value.

this property was very old and a little unclean. the sink in the bathrooms don't drain well so even opening the water a little to brush your teeth would fill the sink. the table and the kitchen counter was very old and very sticky. the BBQ was very dirty. the couch and the carpet was very old and dirty. I would recommend for this price for the owner to get new furniture and update a little. I will not stay here again . the view was beautiful.

Simply splendid. The view is idyllic. It’s the perfect place to stay to truly appreciate Catalina. Nestled below one of the wriggley estates. It’s a hidden gem with the golf cart being the icing on the cake. I hiked 6 miles. Carted around the island. So perfect to have the cart at your convenience. Will definitely make it a yearly stay.

Great winter escape
Property has a beautiful view, quiet and relaxing. Updated kitchen and bathrooms were nicely decorated and fully furnished with all we needed to having relaxing meals "at home." Golf cart made the town very accessible. Staff was incredibly responsive...when the microwave went out, they were back within a couple hours with a new one. We would, and have, recommended the place to friends and would definitely stay there again.

Randall‘s place was perfect for the long weekend for Four adults, my beautiful wife, myself my adult son and his beautiful girlfriend. The amenities were as listed and after some of the reviews there were no real surprises. Having the fourth person golf cart was fantastic and worth it. The second bathroom is a little rustic and shower small so we all used the master bath shower. For families this is not a problem. Every request we made was either met or exceeded our expectations. Check in and check out was very easy and with all the pandemic situations going on we felt very safe. The view from our unit was very beautiful. We had an an unforgettable stay! Thank you very much!!

Do your research on this place
On the plus side: Definitely a great view, reliable golf cart and lots of hot water. On the negative side: dirty (pillows and bedding smelled, floor made socks black from dirt), lack of needed amenities (no lighter for the grill, 3 sheets of Kleenex, only 1/4 roll of toilet paper), small balcony (not a deck), confusing check in with an angry support staff on the phone, the washer/dryer is coin operated and not in the condo, tiny 2nd bathroom - don't rent if you are in the least bit a larger or taller person. You can find many other properties that are much nicer, so don't make our mistake and take this one for the lower price.

Not very clean
The pictures make this rental look a lot nicer than it really is. After seeing the photos and also reading so many stellar reviews, we were really looking forward to celebrating my daughter’s 8th birthday with a family weekend in Catalina. Nobody even had the courtesy to simply sweep the massive amount of cobwebs and leaves off the steps to the door. This should have been my first clue of things to come. Once inside, there were cobwebs and spiderwebs all over the corners, Windows, walls, etc. There were many hairs on the floor, a long black curly hair in the bed under the blanket, poop smears under the toilet seat, and lots of dirt and dust all over. There were food splatters one the walls, weird handprints (grease or marinara sauce?) in doorways, tons of greasy handprints all over the fridge door, and the complimentary soap and shampoo was super sketchy, old, worn out looking, and weird. The dish soap under the sink was 90% water and 10% actual soap. Gross! The sheets and blankets looked so old, threadbare, stained, and just so gross. I called the booking agency to ask for another cleaning and they were super nice. As we were leaving on the golf cart to head into town and allow the cleaning crew some space, two cleaning ladies screeched in on a golf cart. The main lady was SUPER rude and hostile to me, demanding answers and explanations for why she was there (the booking company promised it would be a “new cleaning crew” but this lady was TICKED OFF so I don’t think she was new). She scoffed and my kind answers and was rolling her eyes and being super snippy. When we returned a couple of hours later, it really looked the same minus a couple of cobwebs and minus the fridge door grease. The hairs, dirt, poop smears...all remained. Oh, and the towels in the cupboard were USED!!!!!! There were dirt smears on some of them and caked on dirt wipe marks. There was one lone new hand towel but it had clearly never been washed since being purchased so it was super gross due to that. I really just could not wait for this trip to end. It was so gross and I just felt so filthy being there. I wish more than anything we could have left and gotten a refund but nobody could assist us with that. I hate to say it but it kinda ruined Catalina for my family.
