It made me feel maybe the area was not safe. However, nothing bad happened during the night, it was well lit. It does lack charm and the bed covers are old (one had holes) but room was clean. The TV needs to be replaced for the screen had circle shadows (hard to explain - see room 107). This motel is good for a one night stay if you are passing thru only. While the surrounding area was not the best, the motel was well lit. The staff was friendly and helpful. The diner and grocery store on either side of the property were very convenient for our needs.
