We had to wait outside in the rain for it to be cleaned as the pub was closed. We ended up deciding to stay elsewhere as we felt uncomfortable staying in such a dirty room. Such a shame as the pub is lovely and the girl behind the bar was very helpful, as much as she could be. Located in a small village, in an isolated, quiet location. Warm welcome from the Land Lady and Scrappy Do. Friendly and helpful staff. Recomend the Venison pie with a glass of red. Overall, an excellent stay, definately recommend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good and tasty. Room was clean and tidy. Lots of things to do in the vicinity. We walked out from the Old Inn to enjoy the local countryside and walking paths leading to part of Monarch's way. It was very easy to get to picturesque places like Branscombe, Sidmouth. Axminster and Honiton. Would come back to stay again. Very spacious. Lovely comfy double and single bed with quality bedding. Coffee and tea making facilities . Leah and all the staff made our family so welcome the moment we walked in the door. The kids were looked after showing them the skittle alley, darts board and tele, and introduced to all the dogs who they loved!
