8/10 Very Good! (416 reviews)
We stayed for a week at Crusoes Retreat. It is the 3rd time we have stayed here. The last time was 10 years ago. To say the condition had gone downhill is an understatement. The once thatched roofs are now rusted with twigs left. Some Bures have had the roofs replaced. The beachfront bar is rotting and never opened. The spa pool was out of order and looked liked it hadn’t been open in months. The whole place was tired. If you choose this Resort by the photos on the website you will be very disappointed on arrival.
That all being said we had a great week. The resort is basic but for what we wanted it was fine. I would advise hiring a car if you can as the Resort is very isolated. The staff are friendly and you can book activities. If you catch the tides correctly the snorkeling is lovely. Just watch the currents they can be very quick. The food is basic especially the tropical breakfast.
If you are looking for an economical place to relax with no frills then this is the place. We had a Deluxe sea side bure. We loved the day bed, outside shower and the king bed was extremely comfortable. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning made the room pleasant to get a great nights sleep.
