"We stayed at this property for 5 weeks! My heart ached a little when it was time to go home. The comments about needing a 4 wheel drive are accurate. Oscar, the best concierge in the world, helped me with renting a vehicle since I could not find whether the rental vehicles were 4 wheel drive on the websites. From the time I secured this house rental one year earlier, Oscar was always helpful, friendly and immediately responsive whenever I communicated with him. It was wonderful being greated every morning by yellow throated toucans and pendulum birds...more often than not a coatimunda strolling through the yard. Grunts from howler monkeys could be heard every morning and evening, though we never saw on the mountain. We did however, see capuchin monkeys 3 times...and lots of tropical birds and butterflys 🦋. Mostly I was charmed by Lizzie, a Jesus lizard (common basilisk). She likes hanging by the edge of the infinity pool and having the water wash over her feet. She is not real shy and I could be in the pool a foot away and she would just look a me curiously when I talked to her. The house....just lovely! There weren't any spices or condiments left by previous renters so if you're going to stay a while, you might want to bring you're favorite spices in a ziplock. Spices are pretty inexpensive though. Also, I would recommend bringing a few extra face cloths...one face cloth, bath towel and hand towel for each of 4 people, plus a pool towel. ❤"

"Amazing place, views, pool landscape, beautiful and first class location. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating (shout out to Casey). Consider that car is necessary ideally 4x4 as all roads in area are dirt and not all are well maintained. Part of the beauty of the area. Restaurant at hotel is lovely with great selection. A home run! "

"The stay was fantastic, the food was fresh and delicious. The view absolutely gorgeous. The privacy of our villa was the perfect experience. The service was on point. Definitely a highlight in our trip. The only negative I can say was the drive to the villas. The roads are unpaved for about 15min. Very bumpy and steep roads. Highly dont recommend arriving there at night. Other than that, it was amazing ! "

"The property is fantastic! Be sure to have a 4x4 to ensure safe travels, better to have a pick-up truck if you can. D and J are very hospitable, responsive, and respectable. The home is very clean and well appointed. The pool is just what you need. My wife and I travelled for our honeymoon and the seclusion of the mountain side is exactly what you need. We enjoyed all the noises of the animals, the stars at night, the sunrises and sunsets. The locality to fantastic food, excursions, and the highway. Please stay here! You won’t regret it."

"From the very beginning, this place, the host and property manager was amazing! Super communicative and was totally open to my many many questions lol! Arriving there, Jorge drove us up the insanely steep awesome mountain to this beautiful property! He showed us around and made himself available for any help we needed during our stay. I I can't even tell you with words how beautiful this place and the view is! There's no way anybody would be disappointed by staying here. Thank you so much for an enchanted experience! I can only hope to one day be able to return. PURA VITA!"

"the property grounds are amazing and the rooms are spacious and clean. However, i would not be back - getting to the property there's a long stretch of a dirt-gravel road in such bad condition that we decided not to go in and out of the property just to avoid this bone-jarring driving expereince"
