Staff and breakfast were great. Just note, NO AC with temps >30C. Fan in room and window open made it somewhat tolerable.

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with exceptional staff. Not all of the windows have fly screens and there were numerous wasps and other flying insects outside. Because of this I did not feel comfortable to have the windows open, even during the recent heat wave. Appreciate that air conditioning units cannot be fitted due to the age and character of the building but fly screens should be achievable. There was a fan in the room and this helped for me but even so, my laptop got very hot and would not charge. Later when moved to a cool location, it was fine. I would love to visit again but probably not during a heat wave.

We had a 1 bedroom apartment. It was clean and very spacious, except for the headroom on one side of the bed. We were on the top floor and there was a slanted ceiling. Not a problem, just had to be careful. The washing/drying machine was the main reason I chose this hotel, it took a little reading to figure it out, almost. The first time I used it, I dried my dirty clothes! The second round was much better. It took almost 3 hours per load, as it is a combination unit. The location was pertfect for touring the old town.
