This is a charming place to stay, almost hostel style. It has an open shared kitchen and it was lovely to meet other travelers. The pool is lovely and the owner is very proud of what they have created there. She is very accommodating. Its in a rural location that was a little tough for us to find on fairly rough roads, but it near several restaurants and very close to the dive shop which was our purpose for staying there for an early morning dive. We had a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay

Gabriela is an excellent host! Room was very good, nice pool, a prober shared kitchen and even a Macaws in the almond tree outside. We had a lot of questions for our host and she obliged them all - even though a lot of them was not hers to answer. Thank you Gabriela, you went above and beyond.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and the property is very well maintained including the pool. The outdoor kitchen is well equipped and it is a beautiful place to have breakfast. They provide fresh water and coffee from the family farm. It is well located between the Marino Ballena National park and the uvita waterfall. It is a quite and beautiful place to stay!

Lovely relaxing peaceful home from home. Really well equipped kitchen, Gabby was a very friendly host. Check in easy. Uvita is very spread out, this hotel is walkable to the beach, but there is a lot more to see in the area so I would recommend getting your own transport.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was probably the best set up I have seen. They had eggs for us to cook in the morning and their pots and pans were mostly stainless steel so that was much appreciated. They had nice cold filtered water for us also. We enjoyed the pool. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We would stay again

We stayed for four nights while exploring the area of Uvita. The accommodation is basic but very comfortable and clean. The shared kitchen area is fully equipped for all your cooking needs, and the pool area outstanding. We used the outside area to do a little hand washing and Gaby was very helpful in organising local tours. The property is very secure and safe and within walking distance of the National Park and plenty of eating out options

We loved staying at Rooms and Pool Macaws. It's a beautiful, quaint stay in Uvita. We stayed with our 3 children (13,6,3). The town is rural but that adds to the charm. We walked to the Whale Tale and other places downtown. My kids loved the pool, everything was very clean. We used the kitchen every day and it was so convenient to be able to cook breakfast for the kids and store some dessert for the evening. The room is simple but has everything you need. Check in was easy and the owners are wonderful. They go above and beyond to provide an amazing experience. We would definitely stay again.

Id stay again.

We got in late and left early so didn't get to know the place too well. Its definitely very basic accommodations. Just a sheet on the bed. Its says free breakfast but found out that you have to cook ot yourself and all i saw was eggs and bread. Was tild about breakfast after we left so i thought they belonged to another guest. Id stay again if all you need is a place to sleep or of you enjoy the hostel style place and something very basic.

Uvita = only Macow rooms and pool

This was the best stay during our travel in Costa Rica Westcoast. Gaby and Viktor made it the perfect spot for everyone!!! Families, Singles, Couples, Older and Younger. There are a couple of bungalows on the property. You get a quite big room with A/C. Very clean! The pool was a goody to cool down. The outdoor kitchen is shared and you will find all amneties you can think off. Even if you have to get your breakfast for yourself and prepare it. Gaby offers eggs, Toast, coffee and delicious homemade Marmelade. All day long cool and hot water. And even for the laundry they have a place and some soap. It's all selfservice, but if you need anything ask Gaby! It's a family business and that how it feels like. Don't book any tours upfront in Uvita. Ask Gaby! You get great tours for a very reasonable price! If you are lucky you will see the giant red parrots in the trees at breakfast. Uvita = only Macow rooms and pool

Todo muy bien, solo que no han tomado en cuenta en poner escaleras o una rampla en la piscina para que adultos mayores, niños o personas con alguna discapacidad puedan meterse en la piscina, fuera de eso todo muy limpio y bonito!

Tolle, süße Unterkunft mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, aber insgesamt war zb alles im Bad sehr klein, als wäre es für Kinder. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war groß und super ausgestattet! Der Pool Bereich war ich sehr schön. Insgesamt eine tolle Unterkunft

Diese Unterkunft war die schönste,die wir bisher in costa rica hatten. Viktor hat uns freundlich empfangen und uns erzählt, dass der Kaffee, der allen zur Verfügung gestellt wird, von der Plantage seines schwiegervaters stammt. Die anlage ist geschmackvoll, mit liebe zum Detail aufgemacht, alles ist tip top sauber, die Zimmer sehr geräumig, tolle Dusche, bis auf ein paar Hunde alles sehr ruhig. Top ausgestattete und schöne Gemeinschaftsküche und Gemeinschaftsbereich, der zum verweilen einlädt. Netter kleiner pool. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber ohne auto stell ich mir das schwierig vor. Wer gut zu Fuß ist und gerne an der Straße läuft, kann lokale supermarkt und playa mballena zu Fuß erreichen. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Mi esposo y yo disfrutamos no tan solo de un buen lugar, con todas las comodidades a un buen precio, sino también el poder compartir con los huéspedes, pues la cocina fue el centro de sanas conversaciones. Además de compartir buena información de experiencias en lugares cercanos y lejanos para visitar. Nuestra anfitriona Gaby es súper amable y con la buena disposición de ayudar en cualquier momento. Lo recomiendo a personas sociales, aunque también hay espacio para las más tranquilas e individuales.

Parfait pour un hébergement de quelques jours si vous possédez un moyen de transport. Les chambres sont équipées de manière sommaire mais les lits sont très confortables. La cuisine est très bien équipée et la piscine est propre et rafraichissante. Les responsables sont proactifs et aidants. Je reconnande cet hébergement.
