"Quartier non-securitaire, loin de tout, aucun service à proximité. Possiblement insalubre, vu l'etat de malpropreté extérieur. Nous n'y avons pas séjourné, trop degoutant. Il n'y avait aucun commentaire lors de notre réservation, on comprend pourquoi"

"Ston is small so all places were close.
Breakfast was hand delivered and excellent
Parking was easy, just short walk to public car park and hotel registers your plate so you don’t have to pay.
Room was very chic and comfortable."

"We loved this property!
After having another property owner from another site refuse to honor the rental (he double-booked), we found this place at the last minute. The owner and his wife were so gracious and welcoming — and able to get the place ready for us in short order.
The apartment is very charming and a lot more spacious than it looks online. It was very clean - and the location was perfect. We were able to walk all around Ston and enjoy the wonderful food and atmosphere.

The owner was always available for anything we needed.
Breakfast was great and delivered via room service. The owner took care of the parking cost. We highly recommend.
The town of Ston is a really neat place to visit and for a small place it has a lot to offer.

It was beautiful and had great swimming and sunbathing. Quick bus ride to the old city. The room was nice and a good value. My only complaints are the lack of even moderately priced dining options and the staining of the sheets and rug in our room (looked like old blood).

Here's the gig: Dubrovnik is not huge. The walled city is beautiful but only so much to see as it is mostly restaurants and repetitive shops. A couple of museums, a church or two, etc., but one good day or afternoon and you can cover the highlights. Don't miss the cable car to the top of the hill at twilight. Spectacular.
Having said that, this hotel gives you the option to enjoy spectacular views at the seaside, a gorgeous walk along the coastline into town or a 10 minute bus ride from...

We just returned from a lovely stay at Hotel More. Of course the surroundings are magnificent. But the hotel staff and on-site facilities are what make or break a hotel. Delicious food, beautiful pools with views over the sea. Total relaxation. The staff treated our family with care and kindness each and ever encounter. Our waitress at the on-site restaurant remembered our child's favorite meal. The prices are not cheap, but I am willing to pay extra for fabulous service.

WOW!!! I was speechless at this hotel. We stayed for two glorious nights and it was better than the best Marriott I have stayed at. Not only was it only a few years old, but the rooms were huge and the shower was to die for. We went down for breakfast (included in the minimal amount) and I actually asked the receptionist if that spread was the one included in our nightly price. Also, there was a bus stop that took all of 3 minutes to get to the main gate of the old city. It was about 30...

We stayed in the old town before Berkeley hotel and it was a nice change. The hotel can have some good views and is quiet. Food is better in the vicinity and convenient to the bus for local city or intercity. Also 8 min walk to the airport shuttle, which is 40 kunas, while city bus is 15 kunas. You can pay for fare on the bus and they will make change.
Hotel itself was fantastic and staff was great. Probably the niciest hotel we stayed in in Croatia for less than $150.

Hidden down a winding alleyway, but still close to the bus station and the port amenities. The land lady was friendly and offered advice on how to access various places nearby. Couldn't figure out how to check in at first, the room wifi had spotty coverage in places and I hit my head on the hallway ceiling multiple times. Still it was homey, with sensible choices for shower gel scents and a big window for letting the breeze in. There was an AC, but I didn't try it with the weather, nice as it...

Beautiful boutique hotel. No elevator as we were on the 3rd floor. Bags were handled by the staff, which was very helpful.
Make sure your cab leaves you at the Pile gate, not the other gate(tons of steps)

The best area to stay in Banici is along the coastal road, particularly around the main beaches and coves.
This area offers direct access to the Adriatic Sea and provides a relaxed setting for a coastal vacation. You'll find a selection of villas and guesthouses scattered along the hillside, often with terraces overlooking the water. The main beach, often referred to locally as "Plaža Banici," is a central point for swimming and sunbathing.
For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, this coastal stretch is ideal. The quiet environment allows for relaxation, and many accommodations offer private balconies with sunset views. Dining options are typically family-run taverns serving fresh seafood, superb for intimate evenings.
Families will also find this area suitable due to its proximity to the calm waters of the Adriatic. Many villas offer private pools and ample space, making it easy to enjoy time together.
When is the best time to go to Banici?
The best time to visit Banici, Dubrovnik, is during the shoulder seasons of May-June and September-October, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.
During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the Dubrovnik region without the intense summer heat. The Adriatic Sea is also warm enough for swimming, and you'll find it easier to book accommodations and secure reservations at popular restaurants. This period is superb for couples seeking a relaxed yet engaging trip, offering a balance of outdoor activities and cultural exploration.
Travelers looking for a quiet escape will particularly enjoy Banici in September and October. The summer rush has subsided, allowing for a more serene experience of the coastline and local villages.
