The chef, Crystal, kept us supplied with delicious treats at tea time. Our favorite was the olive, cheese, & sun dried tomato bread. (But the cinnamon muffins were a close second). The room was clean and quiet and the bed was so cozy. We found safe parking in front and absolutely loved our room. The young gentleman that checked us in was very nice and helpful. The chef the next morning made us a delicious meal. This place was very close to downtown and we just walked the block to lots of places to show, sightsee, or eat. Baked goods and lemonade available every afternoon, plus fruit and baked goods always out for takeaway. Staff was so friendly and always available. They were so kind to box up our breakfast for us because we had reservations to go out on a lobster boat tour! The bed and breakfast was in walking distance to everything in bar harbor and spotless. However the property itself is not well maintained. Carpet is pretty gross and covered in stains, wood needs maintenance and towels were stained yellow. For the upwards cost of $500 we were not impressed by the condition of the Inn.
