Two bedrooms with one full and one half bath. Within feet of Frenchmen's Bay, a glorious view of Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain - the crown jewel of Acadia National Park.

This property is conveniently located in Hancock, between Bar Harbor (Mount Desert Island) and the Acadia National Park Schoodic Peninsula allowing for easy access to the hustle and bustle of everything Bar Harbor has to offer but offering the quiet, "off the beaten path" break that you have been looking for.

Fully equipped with all the modern conveniences yet packaged in the traditional Downeast Maine Cedar Shake, this home is positioned well off the road for the ultimate intimate get-away. Enjoy the full kitchen or take a short drive to local lobster pounds to enjoy the sweetest lobster you have ever eaten. Ample off road parking for two cars. Complete private use of the house and property with the exception of the on site detached garage. Perfect for two but easily accommodates up to three guests.

Low tide encourages walks along the water’s edge and many guests enjoy the treasure hunt for sea glass or the rare lobster buoy! This area inspires some of the most talented artists. Sea Spray boasts an eclectic sampling of these local artists.

Enjoy the flat screen TV, cable, wireless internet, Apple TV or bring your own DVD's in case you are planning to stay home. Perhaps you are looking for a long needed rest - enjoy the King Size Sleep Number bed in the Master bedroom or the new Queen bed in the guest room. Most days offer a wonderful breeze off the water but Sea Spray has air conditioning for that occasional hot and humid day. New full size Washer and Dryer are included.

Take a seat on the deck, relax on the Adirondack chairs by the water, or enjoy a nice fire in the firepit under the stars. Whichever you choose, enjoy your favorite drink as you breathe in the sea air.

Local attractions offer ample hiking, biking, kayaking, mountain climbing and more. Your hostesses are eager to share recommendations for special hikes or other local attractions.

Sharon and Carol are your hostesses. They vacationed in Maine in 2015 and fell in love with the rugged coast and the unspoiled natural beauty that still exists in this area. They loved it so much they made it their full time home and live year round in close proximity to Sea Spray. Living in the area allows them to provide the best personal guest experience instead of the all too common distant owner who has placed their rental in the hands of a management company. They strive to maintain guest privacy while being totally available when needed.

Sea Spray was absolutely wonderful! The owners have thought of everything down to the last detail to make this a perfect home for guests. The views are some of the best we saw on our trip to Maine…. absolutely incredible! You can look right out at Cadillac Mountain! It was an easy drive to Mount Desert Island, where we enjoyed Acadia National Park. Equally close is the Schoodic Peninsula. You must go see Schoodic Point. It was even more impressive than the coastlines on Mount Desert Island. The house was the perfect retreat to come back to after our explorations each day. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area!

Amazing views and super clean!

By far, our favorite VRBO to date. Spotless home with epic views enhanced by a firepit we used nightly. Away from the hustle of Bar Harbor but close enough to hike the elic trails of Acadia.

A Perfect Getaway

We had the most wonderful time staying at Sea Spray. The cottage was perfectly clean, and Sharon and Carol were excellent hosts! It’s the perfect location between all points of Acadia- although we could’ve stayed on the porch looking out at that view all day! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect Maine getaway.

Perfect 50th anniversary stay

house and property were as advertised. Kitchen was very clean and ready to use with up to date appliances. Deck was a great place to sit and read or take in the view. You will not be disappointed with SEA SPRAY.

Tranquil and Beautiful

If there is a more peaceful place to vacation and get away from it all, we have not found it. However, it is a short distance to anything you wish to do in Bar Harbor, Acadia or Schoodic. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed to feel at home, including freshly baked popovers, butter and jam upon arrival -- what a treat! We can't wait to return.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay

Property was very clean and welcoming. The cottage and grounds are meticulously maintained. The water views are so relaxing and the location was perfect for exploring Acadia and the surrounding areas. Plenty of small fishing towns, hiking, walking trails, restaurants and gardens are nearby. The property manager was great at answering questions prior to booking and was always readily available if needed during our stay. We’ll definitely be returning to Sea Spray when visiting this area again.

Magical Few Days

Adorable Getaway!

I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The house is adorable. The view is amazing. And they have taken care of every possible thing that you can think of that you might need. Even the closets were cute! A wonderful week

Our trip was affected by Lee (the storm), and Sharon & Carol were very communicative and accommodating in helping us deal with it. We appreciated their flexibility a bunch. A Special Treat

We rate Sea Spray's assets as just about perfect tens. The attention to detail, the calming décor and the first rate choices of amenities made our anniversary stay a special treat. We had some stormy March weather but were happy to spend lots of time inside enjoying this place we wanted to call home. Sea Spray Cottage is delightful!

Our four day stay in Sea Spray Cottage was simply amazing! The bay view from almost every window is just the beginning. There's a wonderful deck overlooking the sound and a fire pit steps from the house. There's privacy and quiet. The cottage is charmingly decorated and the house is thoughtfully furnished with anything one might want or need. Hosts went above and beyond with home baked welcome treats and a s'more kit. It is an easy drive to the entrance to Acadia National Park. The cottage is also close to the Schoodic Peninsula part of the Park, which has a different feel and is worth a visit. We loved our first trip to Maine and our stay in this lovely cottage.

We stayed at the Sea Spray Cottage to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better place. The scenery and situation of the cottage were idyllic and the hospitality of our hosts was unparalleled. From the clear and warm communication to the moment we arrived, we sensed immediately that we were in good hands, and the time we spent there proved it to be true and more. Just Gorgeous!

The property was breathtaking! Peaceful and relaxing! Spotlessly clean! All the amenities were excellent. Well stocked pantry and all you need to cook at home if you choose was at our fingertips. The beds were extremely comfortable, and Rick especially liked setting sleep number 45 which was just right. The patio with firepit and all the necessary supplies; kindling, starter kit, lighter and seasoned oak was right there. Perfect sea side cottage

We spent a wonderful week at Sea Spray. It was really the perfect experience. The house and setting are impeccable. The pictures do not do the property justice. The hostesses prepared the property so thoughtfully. It felt like we were their old, treasured friends. They met us when we arrived, provided tips for exploring, and even left delicious homemade ice cream and pie! The setting was incredible for lazy mornings and provided the perfect place to exhale in the evening after a day of exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor, and more. The house was simply perfect.

Serenity

My husband and I spent a week at Seaspray for our 40th wedding anniversary and for his birthday. It could not have been more wonderful. The house is perfect and Carol and Sharon have thought of absolutely everything that one might need. It was the most serene and peaceful and quiet vacation we’ve ever had. we did not leave the house very often because it was so wonderful to be there, but there are lots of things to do if one chooses to take advantage of Acadia and Bar Harbor. We were perfectly content staying at the wonderful home, enjoying the view and the crisp air and watching the Harbor Seals and all the birds. Thank you Carol and Sharon for sharing your home.

Perfect Stay

Had the loveliest time at this beautiful and cozy cottage sitting right at the edge of Frenchman Bay. Super clean and comfortable, with everything one could ever need. Thoughtful touches throughout and very tastefully decorated. The most comfortable beds and the softest sheets. Really enjoyed the stone patio area and firepit with stunning views of the water and Cadillac mountain. All you need for the firepit (high quality wood + kindling and starters) is provided. The hosts were so gracious and welcoming. Was greeted with a lovely handwritten card and fresh baked loaf of blueberry lemon cake. Would definitely book here again if in the area. Five stars is not enough!

BEST VACATION RENTAL!!!!

This property is immaculate inside and out. The views are amazing including the seals swimming around the harbor. The house is equipped with everything you need, the owners have thought of everything. We rented this house for our anniversary, Carol and Sharon went above and beyond and provided us with a nice gift and the most amazing homemade breakfast. They are beyond accommodating and provided us with recommendations for dining, activities and shopping. Carol and Sharon went the extra mile and this rental did not disappoint we can not wait to go back again!! This rental will be a recommendation for all our family friends who want to visit this area. An absolute jewel of a house

Perhaps the best way to explain this exquisite house is to say that we were constantly amazed that any guests had stayed in it before us. Every aspect of the house looked and felt brand new. It was so well equipped and provisioned that the usual first day trip to the grocery store wasn't needed at all. There were days when we travelled to local beauty spots but there were also days when we just stayed at the house and enjoyed all it had to offer. Watching the seals chase shoals of fish around the cove from the porch was a favorite early morning activity. Thank you Sharon and Carol. You were wonderful hosts and we would love to come and stay at Sea Spray again.
