“We booked this hotel thinking it was the other Solar Antigo down the road which we had stayed in before. When we arrived at the wrong one, the staff members greeted us and explained the mistake I'd made. Fortunately they dropped us to the right place which was only 500m further down the road - still extremely convenient for Porto Airport. The Solar Antigo Luxury hotel was excellent. We needed a bigger room as there were 3 of us and there was plenty of space, the room was nice and clean and the……

“I don’t imagine you could do much better than this in the heart of Viana do Castelo. They’ve done a really nice job fixing up this building for guests. Clean comfortable rooms, and charming common areas for relaxing and enjoying a drink or coffee. You are right on the main street of VDC and can walk to everything.”

“I travel a lot yet seldom write reviews. So there must be a good reason to do this one. I am stingy so I am looking for value when booking a place. Re. this one, the owners conveniently forgot to mention that there is a COMMON bathroom for all the bedrooms on the floor (one bathroom for seven rooms on the floor where I stayed). Since toilets are within the same space as the showers, you can imagine what problems to expect. Had I been clearly informed about common bathroom I would have never……
