There's this place that allows you to forget the world... Enjoy discounts when booking 3 nights or more! RiversEdge is a pet friendly zen inspired retreatlocated on a beautiful stretch of The Colorado River in Bastrop Tx. Featuring a 2400 sq ft, fully remodeled open concept mid-century 4 bedroom 2 bath house which sleeps 8, has an outdoor grilling and dining pavilion and walk to river access. There’s even an air-conditioned sunroom, which overlooks the river and grounds. Lose yourself on our grounds featuring huge shade trees, 4 zen hammocks, which are positioned perfect for that afternoon nap and enjoy the sounds of nature which abound here. You’ll find it hard to believe you’re only 2 miles from downtown Bastrop. While the house is private, grounds may be shared from time to time with guests from our sister property RiverNook, located on the same grounds. However, the grounds are large with ample patios and spaces for all. The property is truly Zen Central with access to the river where water activities, swimming, fishing, tubing and kayaking are popular. It is the perfect Zencation spot! We do not provide kayaks or canoes however you can bring your own! We are also just minutes away from two incredible State Parks with awesome hiking and bird viewing! We love having well behaved pets explore the grounds with their families. We do have a $75.00 per pet per stay fee that helps keep us pet friendly. The maximum number of pets for this property is 4\. Emotional Support Animals are not service animals and will be charged the fee. If you did not include and pay for your pets in the reservation, please inform us of the number of pets joining you during your stay, we can bill your card or you can leave it with us before you leave. (Please see house rules for pets) We have a feeling, like so many others over the years; you'll fall in love with RiversEdge and refer your friends and family to visit. Come sit for a spell and find your new happy place! The Space You’ll enjoy amenities such as a full kitchen and dining area, Wi-Fi, Smart TV’s, washer/dryer, central heat/air, an air-conditioned sunroom with panoramic views of the river and grounds. The Master bedroom features a King size bed, Double doors that open onto an air-conditioned sunroom and a huge walk in double shower which is a guests favorite. Bedrooms 2 and 3 feature queen size beds and the fourth bedroom has a double pull out day bed. The house is perfect for entertaining, with its open concept design there is room for large gatherings. Family reunions, class reunions and weddings have all been held here. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a multi-family gathering, reunion or corporate retreat, RiverEdge will be perfect for your getaway or Zencation. While a 2-night stay is possible, the vast majority of our guests have told us they wished they had booked an additional night. If a 3-night stay is possible on your end, we recommend booking at least 3 days as it is rarely possible to add a day at the last minute. Should you need to house a couple more guests, you can rent our garage apartment, RiverNook located on the same grounds or The RiverHouse, sleeps 8 and Harmony House, sleeps 4, which are just down the road, if they are available The Neighborhood We are located in a quiet eclectic neighborhood bordering the Colorado River. About two miles from Historic Downtown Bastrop, which offers amazing pre-turn of the century architecture, quaint shops and food galore… You may see us while tending the grounds or gardens, just say hi and we'll introduce ourselves. We do give our guest privacy but we love to entertain and chat if you are so inclined We can't wait to share our Sanctuary with you! Access You will have access to the house, grounds, kayak ramp, swim deck, river, lighted fishing dock, Other things to note The occupancy listed is the max occupancy this property can accommodate. If you intend to host any event, celebration or other function, you will need to disclose this to us in advance and obtain approval, including an agreement to all additional fees and terms. We ask that you read all House Rules & Policies including the additional House Rules section prior to booking. Upon booking, you are stating that you understand them and agree to follow and abide by them. We strongly advise trip insurance to cover your booking and will provide any documentation you may need to facilitate your claim. Our cancelation policy will be adhered to at all times during your reservation. We do not refund reservations outside of our cancelation policy. Unlike hotels who typically overbook reservations, we do not have that option. We have blocked off the property from all advertising once you booked it and typically have a hard time re-booking on short notice. If you do cancel outside of our policy, we will do our best to rebook the property and will send you any funds we collect to offset your losses. These funds may be less than you originally paid. As mentioned above, while the house is private, grounds may be shared from time to time with guests from our sister property RiverNook, located on the same grounds. Everything was easy to find and the instructions were clear. We went kayaking on the river one afternoon and had a blast, then also just swung on the rope swing and enjoyed the hammocks. It’s close enough to town that we were able to go in for dinner if we wanted, but we also cooked several meals at the house. We loved the sunroom in the back! Our dog had a grand time as well, running all over the property and exploring the river’s edge. It was rainy and drizzling for part of our trip and we truly enjoyed sitting in the comfy chairs on the Sunporch while watching the river and the rain. The house is very comfortable and furnished nicely. The kitchen is well equipped, the internet worked great, and Andy provided fishing gear for the docks. Also, it's a short, quick trip to town and we found Great Restaurants. We enjoyed a float down the river on tubes we rented from Andy, swimming in the river and kayaking on the Colorado River. The house had everything we needed and Andy was very responsive. We had a wonderful time at the river for a short spring break trip! This house is just beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. The only slight negative were the dirty windows. We own a window cleaning company so I’m a little picky 😆! I was super excited to sit on the deck and enjoy my coffee while looking out the beautiful covered patio! We really loved this time with our family and friends! This place was great. It even came with 4 kayaks which the kids loved. Andy was such a great host and the house was perfect! The weather was rainy on the first 2 days but the house was big and spacious and yet still cozy to feel comfortable inside for most of the day. He had so many board games to pass the time and a great big dining table and big open kitchen that we were all able to talk and play and hang out while cooking and relaxing. The beds were wonderful and there was so much room! The sunroom was so pretty esp while it was raining to still be able to look out and enjoy the beautiful view of the river. The last day we were there was a beautiful day and Andy gave us directions and recommended a wonderful hiking trail in Bastrop forest. We had a great time and will definitely be back again! The place was extremely clean and welcoming. The master bath was great with a rain shower head, bench and second shower head. The kitchen and living room are very large. Really enjoyed the back porch as well as eating outdoors under covered patio (fan out there was great with the humidity!) The backyard had a butterfly garden, several chimes & sitting areas. Sooo peaceful & quiet! We enjoyed the hammocks. Didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks. I think getting into the water with the kayaks at the waters edge might be tricky for some. Owner offers numerous excursions so there may be another area that’s easier to enter the water. Andy is a gracious host and quickly responds to questions. The house is immaculate and homey. It has all of the needed and necessary amenities. Great water access and the available kayaks were definitely a fun extra! We all had a fantastic time and are already discussing when we sre coming back. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The grounds are beautiful, with easy access to the River and a quiet place to fish. The house is clean and uncluttered and a perfect spot for all ages. Andy is an accommodating host with attention to details.
