"Warm, friendly staff - this hotel had a beautifully designed main building where we enjoyed al fresco eating from the varied and superbly cooked/arranged buffet. After dinner we enjoyed the ping pong and pool table which helped entertain our family. The swimming pool was sublime. The gardens, pathways and trees leading down to the beach were well kept and helped support a relaxing atmosphere. The bedrooms had everything we needed as well as incredibly comfortable beds - quiet, with the added bonus of a balcony. We loved our family holiday! The only thing we thought needed improving was the bar. It was not a relaxing place to sit and had uncomfortable chairs. If there had been a place to chill out comfortably with ambient music where we could purchase drinks and icecream - that would have been ideal. Hopefully, this could be incorporated into the rebuild of the beach bar. "

"Beautiful property with friendly and helpful staff. The food is delicious with options for all visitors. Gym had good equipment and the pool and grounds are lovely. My only suggestion would be to have an iron in all rooms it would have been helpful with my wrinkled dresses."

"Property is beautiful and staff is amazing. Issue is our AC in the room broke down during the night and It didn’t come til next day 10am and it was 34 Celsius or 94 Fahrenheit . "

"The staff was very friendly and the yoga session conducted for us in the morning is very good. The yoga instructor makes a real effort to help us learn yoga. Food was nice and the rooms were clean. Overall, it is a great place to relax and spend a weekend. I would definitely return to this hotel again. "

"We spent 5 nights at Sun Siyam and we had a wonderful time, including a fantastic Nee Year’s Eve party. The staff were fantastic and so friendly. They looked after our little boy like royalty! We spent time on the beach and round the pool. The food was excellent with plenty of choices including lots of amazing vegetable dishes. We did a cookery session with the chef and enjoyed cooking the items we had selected from market. Everyone from the GM down made us feel very welcome, and we very much appreciated this. Our room was great for the three of us with a huge bathroom and outdoor bath. A lovely beach location with friendly team looking after you. "

"From the greetings on arrival to the moment of departure, the staff and owners were only too happy to assist us. If you are looking for a place to relax and hang by the pool or walk down laneways for 10 minutes to a great swimming beach, this place is just great to wind down from the usual tourist trails. The grounds surrounding our accommodation had lots of wildlife, squirrels, geese and even some resident eagles in the coconut palms.. For western travellers, it's handy to know that they have reasonable bar with cold beer and glasses too..A tuk tuk into town is only 5 minutes when you want to see some of the sights such as the Dutch fort."
