Gorgeous view with room overlooking the lake and the beach. Stunning hotel ,like stepping back to the belle epoc but with all up to date and lovely public spaces, patios, garden, beach , pool. Nice food, great bar, lovely service all around. Highly recommend!

Hotel was kept very clean and furniture very well maintained. AC worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower worked great. The massage was very good although 60euros for 30 mins was a bit expensive. We didnt mind paying the 5% tip they asked for. Sauna facilities looked great although we didn't use them. Beautiful property with sunrise. For 30euros, the breakfast should be improved. Lunch options were also very expensive for the quality of food and unfortunately, there are not many restaurants options if you dont have a car. We stayed for some time so the food was getting to us. Also the gym wasnt free and not impressive.

This hotels gets the big things but fail on the small. Grand hotel, great beach, beautiful rooms, great breakfast, but as others note, you pay 25 to park for a day, in fact more if you use the car because payment is per hours capped at 25. We asked for iron. No. Not possible. Leave with staff and they will iron, I guess tomorrow.. and do on.

Beautiful hotel and great location. Pool and beach was amazing :D We liked the tennis but it costs extra. You need a special gym key card from the reception. Gym would benefit from a upgrade, a bit outdated

The facilities are beautiful the price to not include breakfast and the parking that they have is per hour every time that you go in and out, it’s not that close to Baveno or Stresa unfortunately during our stay, it was raining a lot, but the facilities are beautiful. Decoration in their rooms are fantastic.

Beautifully situated grand old hotel with commanding views across the lake. Very friendly, helpful & polite staff. The rooms & communal areas have been tastefully updated with modern touches. Lovely to be able to relax on the terraces or on a sun lounger down by the lake & swim. The swimming pool is rather oddly situated & is probably not quite in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The tennis court has an amazing view but the surface needs some tlc & it costs Euros20 an hour to play. It was a little disappointing that neither access to the gym nor the health/wellness area were included in the overnight stay. Again one had to pay extra for those. It would be worthwhile Expedia making that clear.

Every single thing about our stay at Hotel Splendid was, indeed, splendid. All of the staff from the front desk to the bar to the restaurant were all so helpful and friendly, and the location cannot be beat if you are looking for a place to hangout and unwind. There is also a convenient walking path into the town of Baveno from the hotel to avoid the busiest road, as well as a shuttle stop right up the street for the Alibus that runs to Malpensa airport. The private lakefront beach is perfect for swimming and the breakfast buffet is impressive. Absolutely worth adding for your stay. I am not embarrassed to admit that, in a 4 night stay, we only ate one meal outside the hotel...the restaurant is just that good. Book your stay at Hotel Splendid, you will not regret it!
