Quaint, cozy, rustic, romantic, Tree House Cabin is all of these things, in a magical Colorado setting overlooking Lake Vallecito. One of only a handful of lake-accessible properties, this charming cabin is a rare gem and a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Take in views of the lake from the deck, catch a peek of some local wildlife, or curl up on the couch or hammock with your favorite book. And of course, enjoy the multitude of outdoor activities this area is known for.

The cabin is well-appointed in a studio-style layout, with a Queen bed in the bedroom nook, a galley-style full kitchen, a full bath, and a living room with an original stone-stacked fireplace. There are hammocks outside facing the lake and a grill on the front deck. Bring your furry family member to enjoy a vacation with you!

This studio cabin is in the heart of the Vallecito Lake Resort community near all lake area activities including boating, fishing, water skiing, hiking, horseback riding, road cycling, mountain biking, motorcycle riding (dirt and street), hunting in the fall, and more. 

The cabin is a very short drive or walk from the Vallecito Lake Marina, and appx 25 miles to downtown Durango, 20 miles to Bayfield, and 50 miles to Purgatory Ski Resort.

This Cabin has been a rental in the past, but recently switched management companies, so reviews have been lost. Here are a couple of sample guest reviews from 2021: 10/18/21 Guest: The cabin was perfect! Quaint Quiet amazing! All the little touches made our stay exactly what we were looking for! 06/1/21 Guest: It was easy access to the lake edge and we could see the lake from the deck. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck having breakfast and hanging out in our hammocks in the trees.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer
travel insurance.
