A purely money grabbing venture with poor service and cheeky additional costs. A cartel like attitude that forces costs on you without attempting to provide you with any real services to justify them. Staff were unfriendly, rooms were average at best. Location is excellent which is the only thing the hotel has going for it.

Underwhelming Hotel
For a 4-star hotel at $800+ per night, I would have expected more. The proximity to Gondola One was great, but The Lodge at Vail itself was not worth the price we paid.
