Overall, great stay - however we booked the hotel specifically for the pool and hot tub. The indoor space had an air of stagnancy, and the water was not flowing. There was a film on the water in the pool and the hot tub, so we opted not to press our luck. Also, just a score down on amenities... the soap wasn't filled up so we had to use shampoo as our soap in the shower (not a big deal, but these are large containers anchored in the shower and it doesn't take long to just check to refill them when you clean the room). Other than these two things - great stay, very comfortable and I would like stay again because of the great location. Staff was great too.

This hotel was very handy for our event that happened to be at the Expo center. The hotel is dated, and could use some TLC, but our room was fairly clean and it was quiet.

Always a great stay on Grand Lake!

We may be more particular than most people. In our room (402), the door to the balcony needs repaired as is hard to open & the shower nozzle needs replaced. Cleaning of the room was just okay/not excellent. Pool area was beautiful & Doc’s was a nice amenity. We were particularly disappointed in the Summit Restaurant, which has excellent service but the food quality was lacking. Everything was heavily over-peppered. Overall Shanghai-La Resort is a beautiful facility in a gorgeous location. We just maybe expected a little higher standard in our room.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful art deco decor. Close to everything needed in downtown. Quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Great view outside our corner room.
