staff were very nice and considerate but the property could use some updating

We stayed 3 nights. On the day of check in we received and email tha the hotel was undergoing renovations. Once we checked in we did see why. The hotel was clean but way outdated. The renovations did not cause any problems other than the noise but they did stop all work by 5:30 pm. They also charge $13 a day for parking and we were not told about that either until we checked in. The beds were not bad but like I said very out dated. The power cord on the desk that was there so you can have multiple items plugged in did not work. We did have to call twice to get it changed. The first day we were out of the room we came back around 4 to find that there had been nothing done in the room other than the trash can was empty and the dirty towels in the bathroom had been picked up. We called the front desk to see if they were suppose to clean the rooms each day and we were told yes. We explained the state of the room and that we were not happy. The next day someone came at 9:30 to clean the room and we were in the middle of getting ready to leave. I asked them if they could give us 30 min and come back once we were out and was told yes. We were out of the room again most of the day to come back to the room once again with nothing have been done. Not even the trash emptied. My husband went down to the front desk and complained again. They did send someone up but we were so tired we told them to just empty the trash. Everyone we delt with we very nice and room service was not ba
