“The stay started with a terrible check-in at 7:45 where I had to prove I had a reservation and that I had paid for the room in advance - the staff did not bother to check the computer - I was made to feel I was a major inconvenience. The room was basic, German circa 1975, but not bad. It was clean, serviceable, and the water in the shower was warm.
