Family Labor Day Trip

This house was exactly as listed and so great! Big but cozy house right on the golf course. Short ride to SHARC and The Village. Hot tub was so nice with deer walking right up to our deck. The host was a great communicator and was so easy to find and get in. We will try and book next year!

This home was perfect for the 3 of us. Fantastic location right on the 13th green of the golf course. Communication with the management was great. Great bikes & grill, pretty much everything we needed. Small issue with the Hot Tub but management was fast to make it right!

We enjoyed our stay. The interior was very clean, with plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. The location is terrific, between SHARC and the village. We were able to walk where we wanted to go. That said, the exterior is in need of maintenance. I would have given it a 5 * review if there was a coat of paint outside, if rotted deck boards had been replaced, and if the hot tub was newer.

Terrific house, clean, lots of room, well organized

We really enjoyed the stay. We have stayed at other places that have such a small kitchen, it only had room for one person. This one is spacious and terrific. Rooms are large and comfortable. Lots of towels. Nice location. The new AC unit keeps it pretty cool and it is easy to divert air flow with the fans if needed. Soap smells terrific! Would recommend: More kitchen towels and garbage bags. Guide on how to use the remotes in the loft. Set up could be confusing for some. These are suggestions, not negative comments.

Disappointed

Disappointed overall. Our family stayed at this home for a total of 5 days. The location was amazing, the golf course and trails were beautiful. But there were several things that fell short. First- The hot tub was very dirty upon arrival. We were so excited and specifically chose a property with a hot tub. The first night, upon arrival, we all got in. It was dark out but we could still notice several things (hairs dark flakes) floating in the tub. We got out, grossed out. The next morning upon examining in daylight, it was incredibly dirty. It seemed it had not been serviced in a long long while. We communicated to the host and she did have the tub service come clean it the following day. It took several hours to heat again, but was clean after that. However- then, we started to notice that items in the house also seemed like they hadn't been serviced: food remnants in the kitchen drawers, the BBQ grill had a lot of visual food remnants, and BBQ sauce all over the inside- it hadn't even been burned away or attempted to clean. There were no scrub brushes or sponges for dish washing, which would have been fine if there were sufficient amount of wash clothes. However, there was only 1 cloth in the drawer and it was balled up and looked as if it had been used prior. The hot water heater only warmed for about 1.5 showers at a time, which is to be expected in an older home but not pleasant for a full family of 6. And lastly, the internet/WIFI connection was non-existent. We tried resetting the router, or what we thought was the router, but it didn't help. I am really not one to complain, and honestly, we are very accommodating and easy people. We tried reaching out to the host during and at the end of the stay, to explain our concerns, and she did reply but basically just wrote it all off. Very disappointing, and won’t be staying again.

Wonderful location near the village, SHARC and, of course, the many bike/walking trails. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/dishes that we needed. The AC was a plus as it was pretty warm during our July stay. The bikes were such a bonus as we really didn't want to drive our car while there. The only suggestion (or maybe heads up for renters) was the lack of personal supplies. Be sure to bring your own shampoo, body wash and tissues. These were not provided and cost a pretty penny at the village store.

Perfect family get away

Super spacious spot, convenient to the village and just what we needed for a family trip. Hot tub was great, and a huge selection of bikes to use in the garage.

Great stay!

We had a great experience at 4 Olympic. The house was clean, location was close to SHARC and the village, and we enjoyed the bikes and hot tub. The house does not offer many bathroom amenities (only bar soap - no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc) and it would be helpful for that to be included in the listing, as we then had to go buy some items that I assumed would be available. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location and house

This is the second time we’ve stayed in this house and we’ll be back. Communication was great with the host and we love being on the golf course and close to bike paths. The new deck is a big improvement too. One suggestion we’d have would be adding more cooking utensils and baking pans— oh and a dish cleaning brush. Thanks!

Disappointing

The location is ideal, but that is about the end of the positives. The house leaves a lot to be desired, especially at the price we paid. Here is our list: - The master bath toilet is broken. We constantly had to take the lid off to manually re-engage the flap to flush. Even when it does work, there is a leak, so all night long the toilet randomly refills, and is quite loud. It kept waking us up. - There is black mold/mildew all over the house. There are large patches in the drywall of the master bath, all along the grout, and in the kitchen. - We constantly found other peoples hair! It was in the bath, on towels, and all around the house. - The dryer does not dry effectively. We reduced load sizes, and even with small loads, the clothes came out smelling moldy and were damp. - The porch has nails that stick up. We were lucky that our kids didn't cut their feet on them, as that would warrant a trip to the hospital for tetanus shots and probably stitches. - The AC does cool the upstairs or the bedrooms. It is simply a box in the wall and on hot days cannot keep up. With the master upstairs, we were sweating in the heat with the AC at full blast. Overall, the house was less than ideal. It was a great location, but so many of the amenities were broken, or ineffective. We will be looking elsewhere for our next trip.

Great place

We had a great stay at this home. The location is the best! Short biking distance to lodge, SHARC, the village and the nature center. The air conditioning kept the gathering area nice and cool. The loft area was nice for the kids. We enjoyed watching the golfers on the par three. Sometimes their balls would get very close. The king bed was very comfortable, the queen quite firm. We have already booked for next year!

Quiet, comfortable beds, & close to village. I would just bring extra pool towels next time and consider spacing out showers as 5 showers ran out of hot water.
