I liked the quietness and the excellent Southern hospitality. Super close within good local restaurants. The only thing was it advertised a hot tub but could not locate it. I also didn’t want to be a bother and ask.

The rooms are actually clean. The beds were also clean. The hotel is older so normal wear and tear. The staff was knowledgeable about rates for the following year. Breakfast offered.

All in all it was a good place to stay. Just didn’t like that the non smoking room smelt like smoke. Other than that it was a good place to stay for the price.

Overall, the staff at this hotel were courteous and helpful, the sheets on the bed were clean, and there were fresh linens available every day. The continental breakfast was also very decent. The hotel does need a good amount of repair work done though... peeling plaster on the ceilings, rusty and broken hinges on the doors and shower curtain rod, and a more thorough cleaning that gets the massive dusty cobwebs off the walls would go a long way.

Staff was so nice and the room was clean but we were in a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke. Notified staff and they recorded it down so hopefully that gets resolved. Overall it was clean and a nice bed, just had a headache all night from the smell.

The check in staff was very friendly. I genuinely enjoyed speaking with her. The room was nothing fancy. It smelled musty when we walked in and we had to spray air freshener we brought with us. The mattresses were surprisingly clean. However a roach did run out from behind one of the headboards. I assumed it was because the rooms are rather old. You can tell this hotel is old and at one point was not in good condition. The rooms have been somewhat remodeled but the former lack of upkeep still shows through. All in all it was a fair price for what you are getting. This hotel is sufficient for a one night stay but I would not say that it is comfortable enough to stay multiple nights.
